Joy’s best friend and roommate leaves to chase after his dream right before the holidays. Also me and lonely she bumps into Carmen, a guest at the resort where she works. Though they are from different backgrounds they slowly begin a whirlwind romance. Is it realistic? Probably not, that kind of thing rarely happens. Does it stop this from being a lovely romance? Not at all, for some of us if we don’t have our hopes and dreams what do we have? I recommend this to anyone who wants a delightful escape and loves a good romance.

Carmen’s dad decides to change up the Christmas holiday vacation to something new. Instead of hot white sand, swaying palm trees in Cancun to snow drifts, fabulous skiing/snowboarding, towering majestic mountains in a small town in beautiful Colorado. Spending time together with family, finding love and starting new traditions.
Love the shy looks, slow burn of lip biting, feeling of that pull, beginnings of a new relationship whether it may seem too fast or not. None of us can tell how long it can lasts. Better to act on it then think about the one that got away and never act on it.
Spending time together as a family is what’s important in this book too. Even if one family was moving on, another was taking place with open arms, accepting with lots of teasing.
Can’t wait to read more about this couple in future works and will love to read other books from this talented author.

This novel is something else! It's the fluffiest of the holiday fluffs with a more than satisfying HEA, while in the same time it tackles some really serious themes, like being alone, poor and homeless at the festive times in the winter, when it's the most difficult. The protagonist is a woman who wasn't born into wealth, and while her father hit the jackpot with his invention and became a millionaire, she still remembers what it was to be poor at Christmas time. When Joy, the resort shift supervisor runs into her accidentally on the slopes, the attraction is instantaneous. What I love the most is that the most important story-line is not the temporary factor of their holiday romance that's looming over their heads, but the charity work they do at the local shelter to make their Christmas memorable too.

I couldn’t get enough of this. It’s like a f/f hallmark movie but with much better writing, and much hotter. I couldn’t put it down and I’m dying for a sequel. The characters were believable and likable. Bonus: I’ve worked in hospitality and that part of the story was also totally convincing. I just can’t say good enough things about Christmas on Emerald Mountain. If you need me I’ll be manifesting a movie of this, with a script written by the author.
