Pros:
- Feature packed, from the side carrying handles to the clever luggage pass thru, magnetic pockets inside
- Lots of clever design like the side opening and option to strap things externally
- Internal organizing shelves are great for keeping things organized and not shuffled around
- Storage capacity is great, it'll hold my laptop and ipad easily. Even the bottle holder will hold a 40oz thermoflask
- Looks professional but not boring
- Comfortable, the straps are adjustable and on a swing hinge instead of a fixed point
- Water resistance appears to be good, I have not exposed it to downpours yet
- Material are high quality, and seems to be well put together. Looks like it'll last a long time
Cons:
- It is expensive
For starters, I use it to carry my Surface Pro, and it uses a magnet sensor to detect when the cover is open or closed, and the magnets in this backpack often cause the device to turn on when I put it into the laptop sleeve of the backpack. I don't know if that's from the magnetic pocket that rests next to the laptop sleeve, or the magnets in the straps. I have to be very careful to make sure it doesn't turn on, and even then, I don't know if it will turn on anyway later in the day. Other tablets that have covers, such as the Kindle or iPad may have similar problems.
Then there are the swiveling straps. It's an interesting idea, though not one I find useful for my own purposes. I don't have anything in my bag I'd need to get out at a moment's notice, and even if I did, I find using the swiveling strap to get stuff out of the bag to be difficult anyway, as you have to swivel the bag, prop it up, hold the strap open, and get the stuff out, and it's a bit much, regardless of having the bag partially supported by the strap.
Even when you're not using the swiveling straps, I find them to be annoying more than anything. Grabbing the bag by one strap is not particularly stable, and it's really difficult to wear the bag using just one strap, as it's going to want to swing to the side, and it will throw off the balance of the bag. The magnets in the straps that keep the bag looking tidy when not in use also don't work if the straps aren't in the upright position. It would be very nice if we could lock the straps in place. Enabling us to lock the straps in either orientation would probably help to make using the swiveling side access more usable.
The shelf idea is interesting, but I find them to be kind of restrictive and hard to work with. Rearranging the shelves is a bit tricky, because you can't just unzip the entire thing, you have to come at it from the side. It's probably fine if you're not adjusting them too much, but it kind of defeats the point of this being a modular design. There's also only so much you can do with the location of the dividers and still use the origami part of them, as they need space in order to work. There's also a pouch from the laptop part of the backpack that cuts into the main pocket, preventing the dividers from being placed that high up, while still having full access to that pocket.
The origami design definitely makes things easier, but there are only a few ways you can set them up. I wanted to hold a (relatively small, thin) mechanical keyboard, (Nuphy Air75), and you can flip the ends up to pass a large object all the way through. That works, but it takes up basically half of the backpack. For this particular keyboard, it's thin enough that you can put it to the side, without flipping the origami dividers up, which is fine, but not great. It completely blocks the entire pocket, and you have to be mindful opening the pocket, or it could fall out. Putting it perpendicular to the shelves means that all of the shelves now have reduced space. Not as much as if I used the origami dividers, but a bit less space regardless. I tried putting my Surface in the tablet pouch (the one with the magnet near the laptop pocket), and then putting the keyboard in the laptop pouch, but it was too much, and caused the back of the bag to bulge outwards, making it uncomfortable to wear.
I wish the backpack was a little bit wider. It's so close to being able to fit this keyboard horizontally. Granted, the Air60 may be able to fit, but I've also seen online how the Steam Deck, a device I don't own yet, but I've at least considered it, barely fits horizontally, but not with the case. Again, if this bag was a little bit wider, it would've gone a long way to improve usability. I wonder if some sort of horizontal expandability would've been possible, similar to the vertical expandability already in place. Perhaps the top opening could have had a 3 point design, so the middle could've been opened up, giving you more horizontal room, like undoing the fly on your pants.
But it's not like I hate the bag. I love the look if it, and the build quality appears to be solid, though there were some threads that weren't trimmed perfectly. I like the number of pockets and that they all have some way of closing them, be it with elastic, or magnets. They don't just hang open, with your stuff constantly on the verge of falling out. In my experience, the backpack is perfectly capable standing upright without having to be propped up. That's really nice. The water bottle pockets are large enough to fit my 30 oz Yeti Rambler in its entirety, even the top part, which is very wide. The leather straps are very nice, and the bag is easy to lift due to the well balanced design. I'm sure some people would love this bag, just not me.
Note: for those unaware, the inside of the bag is fully customizable and can be used with different shaped devices, whether using for carrying camera equipment or various computer pieces.
I can pack in quite a lot and is a really good option for weekend trips. It even swallowed my reasonably bulky winter jacket. It can fit a MBP16, but fitting any other laptop thicker than that will be tight.
The price though on the high end, seeing how well made this backpack is, I hope it’s long lifetime will pay for itself. The lifetime warranty provided by PD is a great deal on this front.

Anyway if u r purchasing it as a daily commuter and u r not intending to use any cameras u might have to go without the bottom two dividers to make some space for big items.
Also the price seems too expensive.
