My boyfriend says crocks are the ugliest shoes ever. I have defended my wonderful Crocks slippers, listing the reasons these don’t have to be cute because they more than make up for it in function, and lets be real, I’m not wearing them out for a night on the town!

Well we recently moved in together and my beloved Crocks slippers that I have had for about 9 years were coincidentally “lost in the move”. I can’t be too mad because as I was helping him pack, several of his things that I thought were junk also got “lost in the move”. ;)

A few weeks after we moved in, he spots me prancing through the house in the exact same Crocks only these are brand new. He says, “Hey, where did you get those?!”
I said, “Well my old ones never turned up so I bought a new pair! Aren’t they great?!”
He was less than enthused. Haha

Oh yeah, this is supposed to be a review. These are awesome. I wear a size 8 women’s shoes and I bought a size 9 so they would slip off and on easily even if I’m wearing socks. These are still pretty snug. If you like any wiggle room, definitely size up. These have a super soft, warm, wooly liner that easily slides out for washing and snaps back into place. They are great around the house but I got them because they are totally waterproof for taking the trash out in the rain. They last forever but if someone steals them or “loses them in the move” you’ll definitely want to buy another pair. I would give them 10 stars if I could!

I love these crocs! I was hesitant to buy them because they are rather pricey for "house slippers", plus I was concerned about the fit because I wanted to wear it with socks, and I was afraid it would be too snug with the lining. But the fit is perfect - I wear a size 8.5 or 9 wide in regular shoes and I bought these in a size 9 and they are perfect. I've worn them with thick wool socks, thin socks, and no socks and they still fit perfectly. I love them and they are worth every penny! Absolutely no regrets about my purchase. Wish I bought them sooner. They are very comfortable. I wear them on cool SoCal mornings with thin socks, but I've also worn them in the snow/ice with thick socks on a road trip (perfect for that, BTW). They look enough like regular shoes that people don't notice if you have to run into a gas station or convenience store while wearing them, and no holes means they're waterproof so you can wear them outside without getting your socks wet, and clean them easily with a quick rinse if they get dirty. And, I love that the lining is removable and machine-washable. They seem to be high quality, well constructed, and very durable, and I expect that they will last a long time. Stop thinking about it and just buy it already - you won't regret it!

Let me start off by saying that I have hated Crocs and swore I would never own a pair since they came out. However, I was looking for a pair of slip on shoes to wear camping that weren't open toe, are somewhat waterproof and can stand up to the heat and potential embers from a campfire landing on them. I also didn't want to spend a lot since I will only wear these a few times a year. It quickly became clear that crocs were probably my best option. I also liked that these had a warm lining in them since I'm always cold. I was amazed at how comfortable they are out of the box - like we're talking slipper comfortable. I wore them for the first time over the weekend, camping where it got down to 40 at night and these did not disappoint. I mean they're still kind of ugly and I'll probably never wear them out in public, but I actually really, really love these: insanely comfortable, warm (but not too warm), waterproof and have held up really well so far. I also like that these have a little traction on the bottom so I wasn't slipping around on the wet grass and rocks. I may just be a Crocs convert, even though this breaks my heart a little to admit.

So these are the ugliest shoe/slipper on the planet. I wouldn’t say they are heavenly when it comes to comfort. They are alright. I have other shoes with more cushion and better arch support. What I will say is that these are excellent if you have Raynauds or circulation issues in your toes. They are so warm and cozy!! I went for a short walk the their day and was wearing my Kodiak hiking boots with thick wool ski socks and my feet/toes were icicles. To the point I couldn’t feel them. That was just being outside for less than an hour in 35 degree weather and no snow!! Then later that night I threw my crocs on to go fix some Xmas decorations outside. I ended up staying out there for over an hour in the freezing cold. My fingers were painfully cold but to my surprise my feet and toes were toasty warm!! For that, these ugly shoes are worth it. I will say they take some getting used to. They are wide and awkward. They feel like clown shoes. I tend to walk very slowly and carefully, especially on stairs when I wear them. Another safety point to note is that these are NOT non-slip. My stairs were wet and this shoe felt slippery. Also, definitely not good on ice.

First off, these shoes could not be uglier. I've owned a number of crocs over the years, and never bought them for the looks. That said, the original Crocs can still be pulled off with a casual outfit and not look too bad. Not these! There is absolutely no style you could pull these off with. However, these are quite possibly the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. The fleece insert makes them fit more snug then regular Crocs, so your foot doesn't flop around. The fleece lining with the soft rubber sole provides a ton of cushion. They are very warm, and I would say perfect to wear as a slipper, but sturdy and comfy enough that you could wear them on a long walk in cold weather. If you are looking for comfort these are the shoes for you. If you're thinking you may be able to pull them off without looking too bad, the answer to that is a hard no.
