I went online to buy a new pneumatic nailer / stapler and saw this. I have two other Kimo tools. The 1/2" impact and the 3/8" ratchet. They are both very good, reliable tools, so I went ahead and bought this too.
After setting it up I am very impressed with it! My DeWalt uses angled 18 gauge brad nails that are a little harder to find than the straight ones and a little more expensive. The DeWalt also will not fire staples. Just brad nails. This Kimo uses the more common straight brad nails and standard 18 gauge staples and it functions better than the Dewalt too. The DeWalt takes longer to "spin up" than this Kimo does, and its louder than the Kimo.
Both the DeWalt and the Kimo have a built-in soft tip, that you can't lose. That's nice. A friend of mine has a porter cable that uses little replaceable plastic soft tips. he is always losing them and they are not cheap to replace. The Kimo's is built in and cannot be lost. That's a big bonus. When you are installing cabinets with a fine paint job on them, losing the dang soft tip is very annoying.
I am thinking of selling my DeWalt and just using this Kimo for everything. Kimo tools are great. They are offered at great prices and I have never experienced a quality issue with any of them. I am a Kimo fan now with three of their tools in my arsenal.
This is a beyond frustrating problem. Fully charged battery, inserted supplied nails - does not fire, with "no nail" green light constantly illuminated. Oddly enough I go outside to see if for some reason the angle that I was using it was getting in the way, and it fired three nails. I return inside, no dice. Okay, so I try firing a nail on a flat surface inside, still no - green light "no nail" remains on. I start noticing that as soon as I cross the outside door threshold the light turns off and can fire a nail. Maddening! After going back and forth several times, and opening the head and making sure there isn't a jam, recharging batteries - I give up. The video attached is the most bizarre issue I've had with a tool ever. After 5 test nails outside it no longer fires at all regardless of location. Is this a lemon?
I've seen some other reviews mentioning not firing issues and that customer support was able to replace the product with a functioning one, so I emailed them and have now recieved an email 2x asking for a video/photo of the problem. After sending this video and a similar thorough description of the issue, it feels like I'm going around in circles with customer support.
Please reach out and correct this issue, I feel like this was a total waste of money to this point. I got a lemon.
However, I needed a stapler which would do one inch staples to tack down the Rubberific tiles which required the longer ones.
The tool came quick with 1000 staples included. It included 2 batteries and a charger which I
immediately hooked up, wanting to see if it would do the job for me. The tool was heavy and seemed to be well made. The instructions were adequate and soon I was stapling the tiles down. Wow! It certainly handled the work quickly and with authority, putting the staples deep.
I was very impressed and got the whole job finished with just one battery charge.
In summary, I feel the stapler is a welcome addition to my tool box and would certainly buy it again.

Update 1/18/24, Customer support states that 3/4" soft pine is too thick/hard for a 1" staple, even though the description states 3/4"-1 5/8" staple use.
As per support: "Due to the thickness of certain wooden boards and special materials, nail guns may not be able to fully penetrate. The nail gun has no malfunctions, you can try using wooden boards made of other materials." Even though it's driven 1" staples. easily in the past, apparently I was just lucky to get it to work before.
