Pat Hanratty

About the author

Pat was born in Milwaukee and lived the first half of his life there. Pat married Sue and then earned a bachelor’s degree from UW-Milwaukee, a masters from Marquette in counseling psychology, and a doctorate in clinical psychology from the Saybrook Graduate School in San Francisco. In 1990, the couple moved to La Crosse, where they currently reside. Pat wrote two nonfiction books. The first one, Holotropic Breathwork: Findings from a Study in the Desert and Their Implications, was based on his doctoral dissertation. The second book, Atlantis: The Evidence, compares what science and mysticism have to say on the subject. Both explore subjects such as reincarnation, out-of-body and near-death experiences and other transpersonal topics. His first two fictional stories, published in March 2021, are murder mysteries. The Carver, is based on a serial killer living in the fabric of society. Three Brothers, uses the avenue of hypnosis to promote murder. Both stories are psychological thrillers. A Christmas to Remember tells of a toxic karmic triangle that must be broken; Jackson Mann involves a ten-year old boy who remembers a past life in which he was murdered and sets off to find the killer; both were published in December 2021. In The Lottery Winner, down and out Cal Peterson mugs attorney Thomas Wolfe and gains a lottery ticket, which turns out to be a winner. Cal learns, however, the two share a deeper, disturbing, connection. It will be released on January 12, 2022. Numerous other stories will be released in the near future.
