This coffee pot was ordered as a back up percolator. I put it away in the closet and today I opened it up to use for company and I find a used pot with the inside completely burned black. The condition of this coffee pot is horrible. All the guts are black. Unfortunate for me for not opening the box when I received it. Lesson learned. No star rating here

Just another example of a product purchased. based on reviews from people who have no clue. This percolator is so lacking in features that it is unusable. There is no way to adjust the perc time to get the coffee brewed the way you like it. FAIL. There is one preset time, and then it goes into warming mode. There is no "power on" indicator, so you have no quick way to know whether the percolator is "on" without checking to see whether it is plugged in. FAIL. The percolator could burn you, if you are not careful. Because there is no light to remind you, if you leave it plugged in, the coffee will evaporate and burn onto the inside of the percolator, creating a real mess. FAIL. To use the percolator, you have to plug it in and unplug it every time, because there isn't even an on/off switch! FAIL. The only single "pro" to this percolator is that it makes coffee fast. It starts percing within seconds because it superheats the water in a small cup inside the percolator. That feature is actually touted n the manual as a great thing. That super heated water however, produces bitter tasting nasty coffee. FAIL. Anyone who knows ANYTHING about coffee, knows that. Giving this thing 2 stars is generous, considering I can't use it at all.
