About this item
- Extra Fine Mesh Holes: Tired of seeing debris floating around in your tea? Why not try this one, replace the old tea bag and enjoy a cup of your favorite loose tea? Our extra-fine mesh, which can easily trap the loose finely cut tea leaves, enables you to brew all kinds of tea, even tea with really fine particulates.
- Roomy Basket: Unlike an infuser ball or other small infuser, the tea leaves in this wide barrel are free to circulate and the tea diffuses quickly. Whatever you want to make a small amount or an entire pot for guests, it will not let you down. Let's accelerate the Brownian motion and get the best flavor.
- Double Duty Lid: A lid made of food-grade silicone is a great insulator to keep your tea hot, but stays cool to the touch, making it easy to remove; it also can be used as a saucer after you pull the infuser out, so you needn't worry about making your table wet.
- Fit in Well Anywhere: Long folding handles keep you from burning fingers and fit teapots, kettles and mugs of different sizes. Handles can fold for easy storage.
- The HOUSE AGAIN Advantage: Professional tea infuser manufacturer. Multiple high-quality products for your choice. Worry-free 30-DAY and 24/7 friendly customer service.

It's amazing because people don't even realize it's an infuser. It appears to be a fairly solid but thin metal canister. Only when you look close or hold it up to light can you see how fine the teeny holes are.
I used this infuser in my big double-wall borosilicate glass mug, which holds around 17 oz. of liquid. I doubted it would fit too well. So my eyebrows flew up when I filled the infuser with herbs and inserted it into my mug of hot water. It made a Shwooop sucking noise and literally grabbed the infuser from my hand to land safely at the bottom of the mug. It was really cool.
The infuser fit so well in this huge mug that there was only a bit of space between the infuser and the opening of my mug, as you can see in my pics. It's definitely a better idea to pour hot water over the infuser once it's placed in, but I often just use a microwave shortcut to heat the water in the mug.
The top is made of a sturdy black silicone with two tiny holes in it. It only sits on the infuser and does not secure. I usually use these silicone cup covers over my mugs to steep my herbal tea. When I remove the black silicone top, amazingly, it's a perfect fit so that my regular cover can be used to cover the whole open top.
The only part that can be slightly annoying is the cleaning part. It's not bad, but it's enough that I often fill and use my own tea bags instead. I like herbal tea a lot for health reasons, and I would get irritated scooping out all the wet herbs with tissues all the time, as often as I drink tea.
The cool part is that after you infuse and steep your tea, the infuser sits perfectly on the silicone top, which faces up. This is just an excellent product with an excellent design and good materials. I think it's absolutely fantastic and absolutely worth the buy!
Update: I made natural blue dye! I infused butterfly pea flowers in vegetable glycerin, then I strained the herb using this filter. Despite all the teeny pieces of herb, nothing escaped, and all I got was vivid blue herbal dye. Amazing.

The infuser fits into my large tea pot, but also easily my mugs. The handles fold out over the rim to keep it from falling in, but fold tidily along the sides for easy storage. And it is easy to pack for a trip. The pores are very even, the water flows through the perforations easily but the tea leaves stay in the infuser, not the pot. The metal parts are all smooth and sturdy. The metal cleans like new with a bit of backing soda on a rag. I can run it through the dishwasher. I also use this to infuse leamons, spices, etc and can clean off all the odors to use again for tea. I also use it to infuse cold drinks. I would happily give this to good friends as a handy to have item that looks nice on the table in a Pyrex custard cup after use. It is nice to loop butcher twine through the handles and use for pot herbs, then washes sparkling clean after. I ordered a utilitarian item and got a treat to use. Such a nice surprise to get something so much better than anticipated.
So House Again came closest with extra the advantage of the extremely fine mesh. Comparing the two side by side the finer holes in House Again are clearly evident.
I very much like the idea of silicone lids. Cool to touch. Do not take in smells or toxins. Clean easily and quickly. Don’t seem to wear or age much. Bright colors/designs would be nice. Black is fine. The RSVP lid remains my favorite of the two, however, because it lies fully flat and serves as stable saucer for the infuser. In contrast. the knob on top of this one potentially sets up risk of spillage if used as a retaining saucer, though it will technically balance on a flat surface and hold the infuser. Either that knob needs to have bigger diameter or go flat.
Not sure why the 3 little vent holes in the silicone lid on the House Again model. Seems this potentially looses some volatiles of the infusing substance and some heat. I liked the near hermetic seal of the RSVP model.
Nonetheless. House Again is excellent quality. Durable. Fits well in my cups and mugs of many sizes. No handle, but none really needed given the silicone ring w 360 degree coverage at the top for handling. In this regard it’s a bit easier to hold onto than the small silicone covered steel handle on my old one; I can image that one may be harder for persons with arthritis or other hand conditions to hold. The secure feeling of the silicone ring on House Again is a wise design.
Price: For quality, stylish design, function and durability, I think the price was well worth it.
The wire arms don't lock into place. A locking mechanism would probably add to the cost and more parts = more pieces that will potentially fail. But it's kind of annoying to have to lift this out of the cup with two hands instead of one. Honestly the arms are kinda useless.
Overall I like it and it makes a nice cup of tea.
8/21/19: I now understand that roomier is better. I started buying better tea and those leaves need room to expand as they steep. Been using this a lot over the past 5 months and it's held up well so far.

Excellent filter and it has a rubber cover.
I don't know a recipient in which you can't make tea in it.
Regards,
This tea strainer fills the whole cup which is handy if you want to mix tea blends etc ..
I had my first one for over a year and a half and used it daily to make Lemon Balm Tea from BuyWholeFoods.co.Uk ,
This tea is extra good, it’s more calming than green tea.
Anyways back to my review, so I used it daily for about 18 or 20 months daily & then one of the handles broke, so I was still able to use it but after a few weeks the second handle broke.
I think they broke because of the pressure I was applying to strain my tea.
So I ordered this set and seen that a special discount was available .
So I ordered it but one of the strainers was damaged so I sent it back and ordered another set .
This set was fine, despite getting a damaged one the first time I still highly recommend this product .
It has more volume than the other similar tea strainers on Amazon .
I’ve included photos of the damaged one + a video of a cup of lemon balm I’m making right now.
I’ve also included some photos of my broken strainer that lasted about 2 years daily.
