Nina's a great guitarist, and I'm happy to see that this style of shredding is still around. A lot of shredders from the '80s were basically Yngwie clones, with some going more into the jazzy/rock Satriani style. Strauss is closer to Yngwie/Paul Gilbert on that spectrum, but also has a very strong Iron Maiden influence, with a little of Vai's whammy bar flavor. It's a lot of fun, particularly if you are or want to be a guitar player. (edit: It's also more melodic that my description here implies.)
My only complaint is that sometimes the lead guitar is a little too low in the mix, and nearly drowned out by rhythm guitar, bass, and drums (her boyfriend is the drummer here, and I suspect that his influence made the mix too drum-heavy, although the drum playing itself is great). It's not as bad as her YouTube videos would lead you to believe, but it's still occasionally a problem.
In the YouTube comments section for "Our Most Desperate Hour" someone said, "This is why you don't let the drummer mix your songs." They're not wrong.

Ihre Interpretation von "The Show Must Go On" sorgte bei mir für Gänsehaut!
Nita Strauss is a note-shredding virtuoso with a melodic flair. This album is a collection of instrumental songs, and she always plays to the needs of the song - which can mean delivering crushing riffs or playing with restrained sensitivity. She likes to layer the cake with multiple guitar parts but the results are super clean. Her cover of "The Show Must Go On" is majestic and moving. This album shows how powerful a guitar can be when technique meets emotion.
