Another superbly delivered book by Aubrey Bondurant.

This book delivers readers what can only be described as an alpha-hole in our H, Liam. Demanding, overbearing and stone cold, he is a lawyer with an ambitious goal in mind. But when his world is knocked off it's careful laid path, at exactly the wrong time, he is needs to change plans and forces his assistant Kendall along for the ride.

Kendall knows that being an assistant is not helping her follow her dreams. But she only has a while to go before she can quit and leave it all behind - only if she doesn't literally kill him first. Being forced to travel with him so they don't stuff up a huge case was never in that plan.

To say that the emotions and chemistry run HOT between these 2 is an understatement. Aubrey rode that delicate line of love and hate that combust between these 2, over and over again.

As is standard fare for Aubrey, the storytelling was woven perfectly to invest me in this pair and this book.

If you love your romance books with heat, the sizzling anticipation of office romances, an alphahole that has a gooey (But very hidden) centre, and a strong heroine, then you need to check out this book.

Can't wait for the next books in this series.

I dived into this hoping to love it as much as the blurb. But there were parts of the story and the characters that frustrated me.
The story starts off great, we meet Kendall, she is Liam’s secretary and he’s a complete jerk. Totally cold and standoffish, his only focus is work and he’s not prepared to give the gorgeous lady an extra second of his time. That is until she stands up to him and he truly looks at her. I mean he has to blink to clear the work focus fog that he has kept himself in, and realises how hot and sassy his secretary actually is. This of course then results in him paying more attention to her than he had before.
Now Liam has a great many insecurities brought on from a bad childhood. These in turn created a whole lot of hesitation and vacillation on his behalf. It was at this stage I felt like he had either autism or an ocd disorder because he was starting to drive me nuts. The number of times he changed his mind about a life with Kendall was frustrating. It was like he’d never really thought about his emotions and feelings before and now had to figure out what each one was.
As for Kendall, she couldn’t hold a grudge to save her life. There were a couple of times I wanted her to walk away and let him think about his actions but that didn’t happen. Instead, he was able to sweet talk her and instantly change his mind about the issue.
Overall, this is a good office romance/enemies to lovers story and I’d like to see where the rest of the series goes,

A steamy office romance you won't want to miss!

MISS UNDERSTANDING is an example of the kind of romance books I love to read. There’s a credible storyline, the plotting and pacing is spot on, there’s humour peppered throughout, I like the main characters and I think they make a great couple.

Liam Davenport and Kendall Tate are both strong and hard-working individuals. Their underlying vulnerabilities made for complex characters that I was interested in reading about. They often butt heads, making for some very funny scenes, but what I loved about them is that the lines of communication were always open. Yes, there were misunderstandings and hurt feelings but they both actively worked through these times to come to a place of understanding. It’s refreshing to read a romance where the couple act like rational and reasonable adults.

I highly recommend this book and will be eagerly waiting for the next book in this series.

To my knowledge this is the first time I have read a book by this author. I can tell you now - it won't be the last. This book was amazing. This is the first book in the Miss Series. I absolutely loved it! I loved how Kendall could hold her own against Liam. The chemistry between these two was dynamite. I loved how they both could bring out the best and worst in each other. This book had me laughing out loud and not wanting the story to end. This book had a fantastic story line and had the perfect amount of humour, banter, drama, loss, forgiveness and love. This book is definitely worth more than 5 stars. Cannot wait for book number 2.

This book is one that needs to be read slowly and savored. Kimberly has got to be one of the most lethal so headed twenty sCout year old ever. Not only is she working for Liam as his personal assistant putting in extra hours and doing a bang up job if it she is also going to night school on the verge of getting her business degree. Add to that she is working every Friday and Saturday night as a bartender at a very high classes club. Where the girl finds the strength and energy to do it all is beyond me. Then she has to put up with Liam himself. When you first start to read the book you will see he is really a jerk 95% of the time. But as you read the story flipping last page after page it is like slowly peeling backhand discovering the man behind the jerk. Or more to the point as Liam discovers things about himself which he has avoid his entire adult life. Kimberly makes him see things about himself that makes him read that he is like his father and not in the good way. The question is though what path will Liam take when he is confront with two very different futures. One where he is in total control working with his name on the law firm sacrificing everything for the firm? Or will be discover there is more to life before it is too late. Fantastic story wish I could have given it more stars.

A first time read for me by this author and I quite enjoyed the book so much that I downloaded the whole series before I finished the first book. Now I've got my fingers and toes crossed that I am not left disappointed. Kendall and Liam's story has everything I wanted from a read. It was exciting, emotional, fun and engaging. Loved every bit of it.

Having a boss you loathe...but find hot is not good!

Having an assistant you find attractive but need to keep a professional boundary on, isn't smart.

But it all comes to a great explosion in the best, or maybe worst, way. And it for sure leaves you wanting to know what happened.

I couldn't wait to figure out what other road Kendall and Liam would take and Ioved every beat between them. I felt their vibe and attraction come off the page and it left me wanting to be a fly on the wall so many times! I highly suggest giving it a read!
