I waited a few months before leaving a review so that I could really put these through their paces.

As a family we were getting through pans every few years, they never lasted and I have to say we never treated them with kid gloves...they're there to do a job. So i decided to spend more in the hope that I'd never have to purchase another set (or at least for over a decade).

We looked at the Le Creuset 3-Ply Stainless Steel (as we liked a cast iron enamel pan of theirs that we have) but upon Googling found too many reports about damage caused by buckling bases. We were later advised by a specialist that the Stainless Steel side of Le Creuset was a sideline, quite new and made in China and were advised to look at Fissler.

I'd never heard of Fissler but was attracted by the German engineering...lets face it, they're one of the best!

Any way over the last few months these pans have taken a real hammering. They are in use every day ,sometimes several times a day and I have to say that they still look like new.

They are heavy (but even when the largest pan is full it's still not as heavy as a large empty cast iron pan!) but this just adds to the reasurrance that you're dealing with real quality.
They heat up quickly and retain heat incredibly well. In fact I can turn the heat off a good 8-10 mins before cooking in any normal pan would've finished and everything will cook itself from the heat retained in the base.
The handles stay cool enough to touch, although there have been one or two times when they've heated up if over hanging another hob burner slightly but this is mainly due to remembering to position them correctly.
The lids are heavy and form and excellent seal. You're able to reduce heat to almost nothing and a constant even heat is retained and the amazing thing is...there's almost no steam at all...really I couldn't believe it...no steam...no rattling lids...nothing. In fact the seal is so tight it's sometimes hard to hear when they're coming to the boil, they are near silent in operation. There are times when we are cooking a quick meal that there's no need for the extractor fan!

So these really are energy saving. We are using less energy, the heat and food juices/goodness are retained so things are cooked quicker, more evenly and I have to say, taste so much better. I never expected that, vegetables especially taste wonderful.

Now for the biggy how well do they clean up (and we're talking messy man cook here) well this is one thing that really did blow me away...they are so easy to clean, honestly, virtually nothing sticks. I've had the stickiest meals known to man on the go and left the pan literally caked in dried on gumph and a little water, a gentle wipe with a soft sponge and voila! it's gleaming and I get extra browny points for doing such a good job!

Another thing I never expected is that I really look forward to cooking now (my wife and I both) it's no longer a chore (especially the clean up afterward) but an absolute joy. Everything is cooked to perfection, everything is controlled, everything works as it should and everything is stress free! I never thought such a simple purchase would have such a profound change on my life but it has.

So there is my overlong review but deservedly so, as I'm very very impressed with Fissler and you would be too.

Voilà une batterie de cuisine très intéressante en inox avec ses différents faitouts de contenance différente, bien que je trouve que le prix soit un peu excessif. Avec ses trois faitouts on peut donc composer et s'adapter pour les besoins, lorsqu'on cuisine pour pour deux ou pour une famille. Les éléments sont adaptables tous feux.
La qualité et la solidité (une bonne couche d'inox en 18/10 mm) sont au rendez vous, avec une fabrication allemande (Fissler) à la base, ce qui permettra d'avoir une durée de vie très longue !
Ne se rayent pas facilement, avec un fond épais qui transmet bien la chaleur : la montée en température st rapide.
J'ai apprécié également la forme des poignées qui évitent de se brûler. Enfin une fonctionnalité avantageuse est l'eau du couvercle qui retombe en pluie sur les aliments. Le passage en lave vaisselle est tout à fait possible.
Cinq étoiles pour ce très bon matériel.
