I have used the Ssscat system before and knew it was a great deterrent to keep my cats away from and off things. We recently adopted a very spirited kitten and wanted to keep her out of our Christmas tree. We waited to put up our tree until I could get some refills. Once the refills came we put up the tree and positioned the Ssscat in front of it. It worked like a charm! The only time the kitten messed with the tree was when we turned it off Christmas morning to open presents. Once we saw her near the tree we turned it back on and she stayed away. It’s a little pricy, but I highly recommend this product to keep an eye on places you don’t want your kitten/cat when you can’t always be there to watch.

This is the only product that will get my kittens off of the counter. Previously I had tried foil and double sided cat tape. When it sprays they jump. Only thing is it doesn’t always detect them. Honestly it ends up spreading me more than the cats and scares the crap out of me. Once it was time to refill I had a hard time figuring out change them out as I already threw away the packaging (push up or pull down on the neck ring) Works better than anything else has just wish they lasted longer.

The product works just okay. No light to tell you it's on (and that maybe batteries are okay), motion distance is reasonable, and when it detects a cat where it's not supposed to be, it sprays a shot of compressed air, presumably to scare kitty away. It's a good idea, and it mostly works.

What doesn't work for me is the $18 per can of compressed air pricing. Even if it's some pristinely clean air from a Tibetan monk's air fern garden hidden away in the Himalayas, this stuff is overpriced.

This stuff works. I have 2 in the house, one on the kitchen table and one at the front door. My cats hate these and will no longer challenge them so no cats on the table and no cats spraying the door due to cats outside the front door. It really keeps them away. You need separate top for each so there are cans and batteries to buy to run the motion detectors, but if it works, and it does, it is worth the $$ to us. I do get sprayed once in a while with air as I leave the house lol but again, worth the little bit of wasted air.

No more cat on the counter at night! Woo-hoo! Cats are smart, they know they're not allowed on the counter and won't go there during the day when you can yell at them, throw a dish towel at them or squirt them with a water bottle. But at night - all bets are off. I don't get it, there is NOTHING up there to attract them! But in the morning, there are little cat footprints on my glass-top stove to tell the tale, they have been up there investigating! Well, we set this little cat trap at night and in the morning - the second morning, that is, lol - no more kitty cat paw prints. It took over a week of being faithful, but the cat finally learned to stay down. This product works!
