This is a very nice, heavy cardigan. I am pleasantly suprised at how comfortable and warm this is. The shawl color keeps my neck nice and warm. Which was important for me because I have a herniated disk in my neck and warmth always makes it feel better.

Fit and finish: I am 6 foot 4 inches tall and weigh 230. I got the XXl and find it to be a little large on my body but a perfect length on my arms. Overall its cozy and would not change a thing. I am going to purchase another one for our Motorhome.

At first opening of the packaging I feared it was too shapeless to be what I wanted, but it turned out to be perfect. I purchased a large green one. I am 5' 10", 190 pounds - about 33" waist and 44" chest - the large fits quite comfortably. The arms are a perfect length - I am hoping they do not shrink at all. Fortunately this type of thing does not need frequent laundering and is not something to throw into a hot dryer - so it should be all right. I may eventually get ones in the other colors after I live with this one for a bit. I haven't noticed any of the odd smells that other reviews have mentioned - it smells fine. Also it seems to be made quite well - no issues with holes and the like. I can wholeheartedly recommend it.

One note- the construction of the shawl collar is not as pictured. It is not seamless - I would have preferred it to look as advertised, this is not quite as graceful - and the seams between sections are not particularly flat. But, that said, it is a comfortable sweater and otherwise, I am generally happy with it.

Bulky. Chemical Smell. But Really Good and Comfortable.

As I sit here at work wearing this sweater for the second time, I have to write a review as I am still overwhelmed with the chemical smell of this sweater. I have washed it once. It sat in the basement in front of a fan for 4 days. It still emits a chemical smell that can be noticed from a couple feet away (you don’ have to press your nose into it).
The sweater is also really bulky. I ordered an XL, and I’m 5’10”, 205 lbs. It fits well, maybe a touch big. But it’s so thick and bulky that it’s hard to put my coat on. The shawl collar is particularly bulky. It’s much bulkier than other cardigan shawl collars that I have.
These aren’t great complaints. I am sure that the chemical smell will go away eventually. It seems silly to complain about a sweater being TOO thick. The material quality and the construction is good. The material is reasonably soft. It’s not itchy. It is super warm. The bulky collar is warm. It fits well and the proportions are good. Overall, it’s a pretty darn good cardigan.

I bought this sweater for my husband for Christmas. He normally wears a medium but I ordered a large so he could wear it with long sleeves underneath it, and it fits like a dream! It looks so good on him I couldn’t be happier & he loves it too. The sweater is made out of a great material, with a nice thick quality to it. The buttons are a simple black plastic, they feel a little cheap but I think that’s just maybe because the sweater is of such good quality I expected a fancier button? Button expectation aside, I wish my husband was more of a sweater guy so I could order him this sweater in every color. 5 out of 5, definitely recommend!

This is the second such sweater I've purchased. They are very cozy and stylish. I get lots of compliments. And you can dress them up or down. Wash gentle cycle. Lay flat to dry. Then, when almost completely dry I throw in the dryer, low heat, with fabric softeners. The material is very thick, so it can smell not as fresh after laying out to dry.

Also, it's delivered in a plastic package, which will give it an odd smell initially. I actually laid mine outside overnight to freshen.

I normally wear large, but I bought XL for both of my sweaters and they fit perfect.

Do you shiver to death in your office during the summer months? If so, this sweater is for you! I bought it to combat the subarctic temps of my male dominated office and it had performed beautifully. Now, this isn’t a trendy piece, in fact, I refer to the sweater as my old-man fishing sweater. However it is WARM! It is SO SO SO warm. The only compliant I have is that the arms are starting to pile. I have only washed the sweater once, as it stay at my office. It is wool, so the piling is to be expected, but it is annoying.
