Product Description

The MXR Six Band EQ has been upgraded with noise-reduction circuitry, true bypass switching, brighter LEDs for increased visibility, and a lightweight aluminum housing. It covers all the essential guitar frequencies, with each slider ready to deliver +/-18dB of cut or boost for incredible control over your sound. The Six Band EQ can create scooped-mid rhythm tones with massive low end, add natural sounding warmth to a quack acoustic pickup, eliminate onstage feed-back, and much more. You can also use the Six Band EQ in the effects loop of your amp for a huge, sculpt able lead boost.

From the manufacturer

MXR is a New York-based manufacturer of effects pedals from Rochester. The manufacturer was co-founded in 1972 by Keith Barr and Terry Sherwood and incorporated as MXR Innovations, Inc. in 1974. The MXR is now owned by Jim Dunlop, which continues to produce the original effects units along with new additions to the line.

This pedal is AMAZING!!!

This pedal is AMAZING!!!
Does what an equalizer should. It may only have 6 bands but they all work with strength. It even reduces gate noise. I consider myself on the fussy side when it comes to a pedal. Kinda limited on space and I'm always concerned with how much BAG for my buck..I'm glad a didn't go with the 10 band.(size) Why would you need volume and gain with your eq? How loud do I need to go in my house? Or go DEF?I'm not a professional, but I have been playing for 23 years. It's merely a pass time for me.I hope this was helpful, keep playing.. it's good for the mind, soul, and heart.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great !! MXR is on the top of my list, always
Reviewed in the United States on March 28, 2023
Was debating on this or the larger one. this works fine. I have heard zero noise in the guitar chain in front of amp. I dont know if power adapter was supposed to be included, it was not. I already have ISO-brick power on my board, no biggie. I find the EQ leveling very precise, don't have to tweek it too much to round out the sound. good price & great sound so far.
