I noticed when I was looking up the books, there are a few more to this series, so if you want to read those as well. It kind of looks like some may be out of order or skipped. I’m not entirely sure but here is what I’ve got. Or it could be that GR is labeling them different from Amazon. Anyway. As the blurb says, this box set is about 3 couples, not one. But they are all connected in some way. They have good times, bad times, and times of hardship as they learn who they are and what their relationships, boyfriends or friends, mean to them and their lives. It’s not always an easy thing, but then no relationship really is.

The first two stories involve an actor and a trust fund kid. One who is bisexual and the other who thought he was straight. But after a passionate quick kiss, things change. He’s not quite as straight as he thought. But the thought of coming out is terrifying. The thought of being labeled as the gay dancer isn’t going over well either. But the more they spend time together, the closer they are getting and the feelings can’t be denied. But they have to realize, they both have compromises and things to do in order to make it work. And it’s not an easy thing.

I liked these guys, even though it reminded me of my kid. She’s 17 and in high school, so you know….drama. But considering the dancer is 17 as well, it’s bound to happen. There’s not quite a full maturity there. Plus being a trust fund kid and somewhat sheltered, he’s a bit…..snobbish to a point. But not too much. He’s just tired of being pressured to be something he doesn’t want to be. He wants to dance. And the actor is having a hard time because the lime light and being far from home. He’s homesick. It’s all got a lot of angst. But they’re good stories. Good characters and a lot of sass 😉 .

The next two stories involve two more students. Both gay. One out, one quiet about it. This deals with some serious triggers. It has severe homophobia, hate crime, attempted suicide and actual suicide. So if these are triggers, be careful.

But Angus and Tyler are roommates. Angus is talking to someone on an app, thinking he’s being catfished. He’s not, but the person he’s talking to is being secretive for a reason. Meanwhile, he’s falling for this guy and falling for his roommate, who sometimes seems to be into him. When he finds out the secrets to everything on a road trip, things come crashing down. But he can’t live without the true one he’s in love with. But can he truly forgive for the secrets and lies all around him and move forward or is it time to fully walk away?

This one is a hard story to read. It is about high school students. Boarding school. But this deals with a lot of bullying, and all the triggers I warned you of. It deals with falling in love and hope, but it’s much harder story because of some of the content. Not that it goes into severe detail, but still. You get the drift and it’s not easy. The thing I love though, is the person is a survivor. They are scared and make mistakes, but they survived and moved on. And that is huge.

This last set did me in. Brooks gets stood up for a date and ends up meeting Darien, who doesn’t seem to take no for an answer. Not in a bad way, but Brooks isn’t into relationships for a reason. He just wanted a date. The more they got to know each other, the more Darien knows he’s hiding something. But it doesn’t keep him from trying to be a part of Brooks life, no matter how hard he pushes back. And it doesn’t stop him from falling for him. But when he finds out the truth to what is really going on, he’s floored, but knows nothing could change how he feels. Even when things get the worst. He just has to convince Brooks that he’s worth taking a chance on. No matter the situation.

I knew what the secret was in this one. I figured it out pretty quick. But it didn’t stop me from crying my eyes out at the situation. And that Brooks is basically resolved to his fate as being bad. But, granted, it is a bad situation. But to basically give up on things just broke my heart. I knew there were times he wouldn’t be able to, but that didn’t mean he should give up. And Darien is determined to have him not give up, no matter how hard Brooks wants to try. He wants Brooks to keep up his hope that things will be better and ok.

These are some good books. They are YA. All about teens in a boarding school. So there’s not sex scenes and such. Things are implied but it’s not described. I personally like that. I like the plots of the story. And they were good. Each story had it’s own set of troubles and things they had to overcome. And none of the stories were easy. They were hard situations to deal with. But each story, even with the heartbreaking moments, comes with hope, forgiveness and love. So overall….I definitely recommend

This boxset is wonderful. I had already read That Feeling When, To Be Honest, and In Case You Missed It. I loved all of those stories and gave each a 4 or 5 star review, which can be found on each books' Amazon page. The three added stories here just provide more information on each of the couples featured in those books.
It's great to see how That Feeling When's Archie and Landon/Yarran's relationship grows when they are in Australia together in In Real Life. I think I love them even more after reading this story!
No Big Deal is the story of Angus and Tyler, the main characters from To Be Honest, becoming roommates and friends. This one shows just how awkward it is for Angus, being the only out gay kid at school.
For the Win tells of In Case You Missed It couple Brooks and Darien's first meeting at a holiday party. The connection between them is instant, and Darien is smitten. Brooks is trying not to be, but he wants to enjoy this one night of happiness. It's a wonderful introduction to these two amazing guys.
This box set is full of so much hope, disappointment, pain, forgiveness, and of course, love. I am such a fan of the author, and it's due to the stories in this set. I highly recommend every single story. I love them all!

I love all the YA romances in this box! They're just so wonderful, real and funny, with a little teenage angst and amazing, original characters. Really great to have them in one box now, complete with all the novella's. I was so happy with the new novella about Yarran and Archie <3

That Feeling When (#lovehim, #1)
Compelling, thought-provoking and immensely enjoyable!!
I was hooked from the first page and just couldn't put this book down!

This is a great coming of age story, with two young men finding love and friendship where they least expect it. The book focuses on Archie and Landon, but their interactions and friendships with the secondary characters are very important too, giving the book a similar feel to that found in the wonderful "Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda".
The blackmail plot and its fallout give the story some added tension, upping the stakes for the MC's.

Archie has a bit of a chip on his shoulder when he arrives at the camp, and his snarky internal dialogue makes for very entertaining reading. We sense his unhappiness, but the reasons for it remain unclear for a while. Archie closes himself off from everyone, even his twin sister, maybe unconsciously afraid of truly being know by anyone, even himself.

Landon/Yarran is extremely lovable!! Very much the handsome boy next door, hardworking, humble and so very decent! His mum raised him right! Landon's just so sweet!!
I loved his connection to his family and how he clings to his mum and the principles she instilled in him, even in the face of a decidedly grumpy Archie.
The Australian accent was brilliant! I simply couldn't get enough of the Oi's, mates, barbie and the bloody this or that!
I really loved that we got an Aboriginal character "in the lead" in this book, especially one with a very succesful career.

The author leaves us bread crumbs to follow throughout the story, only giving us more insight into Archie and Landon in the most subtle and piecemeal way.
This challenges the reader and helps us join Archie on his road of self-discovery.

I loved the conclusion of the book!
It ends in a very romantic, optimistic fashion. Utterly delightful!

No Big Deal (#lovehim #1.5)
Sweet and funny story of how Angus and Tyler meet and become friends. They seem such opposites, but they really click. It ends on a hopeful note with Tyler encouraging Angus to reach out to an online LGBTQI+ community for teens and it really sets the stage for the events in To Be Honest.

To Be Honest (#lovehim #2)
Another wonderful coming of age story by S.M. James.

I love how authentic and well-rounded her characters are. Angus, Tyler, Anah and even Link are not “too wise for their age” mini-adults, but genuine young people trying to figure out who they are and what they want their future to be like.

I had the hardest time not skipping ahead to the end to see what the deal was with Scotty. But I refrained and read the book from beginning to end, no peeking, like the grown-up that I am. Scotty remains a mystery for most of the story, but looking for clues to find out more about him was super fun.

This book has an amazing cast of characters apart from Angus. I adored Tyler in all his nerdiness and I loved how well he and Angus click as friends. Anah is Angus’s other amazing friend, who has some romantic issues of her own to deal with along the way. She’s feisty and loyal, and her friendship really makes a difference for Angus. She’s the best!

This is a very enjoyable read and you might think it’s just another lighthearted, feel-good story about friendship , acceptance and love. An exciting road trip, destination: Angus’s happy ending. And that would have been pretty great already… But there’s more to this book than that. Some really touching moments come along to make you blink away a tear or smile softly to yourself, and unexpectedly some ugly reality also sneaks in… and you realize society still has a way to go with regards to homophobia (internalized or otherwise).

This is a story to make you think, even as it brings you hope and gives you all the feels!!

The ending was amazing! It all worked out so beautifully, with "he who shall remain nameless" pulling out all the stops to get his man. Swoon! The switch in pov at the end was great! I was so happy to finally get a glimpse from his perspective, whereas before we only see through Angus's eyes.

For the Win (#lovehim #2.5)
Great little prequel story to In Case You Missed It. It’s basically the story of Darien and Brooks first meeting, the date that isn’t.

For reasons still unknown in the prequel, Brooks tries, but fails, to keep his distance from Darien who is super friendly, confident and absolutely amazing. The flirting is over the top and very funny.
It’s the cutest and most romantic non-date in the history of ever.

You really need to read this before starting on In Case You Missed It.

Absolutely love these two characters!

In Case You Missed It (#lovehim #3)
I love everything this author writes! And even though this entire series is amazing, In Case You Missed It definitely stands out from the others.
The book has the same humor and sweetness, but the characters don’t have it nearly as easy, if that’s even the right word, as the MC’s that came before.
Brooks, mysterious and elusive Brooks, has a secret. One that will break your heart. I wasn’t prepared for it, neither was Darien, and boy did it hurt to read it. Both these boys show so much heart and courage, handling everything life throws at them. All the love!

This book is amazing, the way it subtly ties in with the other books in the series, the challenges Brooks and Darien face and not in the least, the truly wonderful, diverse secondary characters (family and friends). The writing is superb, almost poetic at times.
Recommend!!

Keep the tissues close though.

In Real Life (#lovehim #4.5)
Yay! We get some more Yarran and Archie! The couple that started it all off. Instead of riding off into the sunset together, it’s time for Archie to meet the parents. And a lot of siblings, some of whom are really outspoken and opinionated. And the childhood friends. And of course… the dreaded, confident ex-boyfriend.
Archie is a little younger than Yarran and less experienced, I love how that was handled in the story. Yarran respecting Archie’s boundaries, never pushing, never making fun. They are the sweetest couple ever and so completely in love with each other. It was so wonderful to see how well they are doing together and how they face the roadblocks, small and not so small, that life puts in their path.
