How Do Fruit Fly Traps Work?

Fruit flies depend on moist organic debris. The TERRO Fruit Fly Trap lures adult fruit flies to the trap using a special food-based liquid lure. Flies that enter the trap through one of the many funnel-shaped holes are unable to escape and continue breeding. In a matter of days, you should begin to notice a dramatic decrease in the number of fruit flies around your home.

This really works!
I was skeptical at first, because there were a lot of mixed reviews. I bought it because I was desperately trying to get rid of this infestation of fruit flies in my kitchen. I set the trap, and not even 5 minutes later, all the fruit flies came to sit on the trap. I was confused as to why they weren’t actually going in, but I decided to be patient. I’m glad I was. The next day, I’d say that 90% of the flies were in the trap, dead. I did set 2 traps and they were both pretty full of them. Very happy and would 100% recommend.
