From the manufacturer
TERRO Fruit Fly Traps
Have you spotted fruit flies swarming around your kitchen or garbage can? It's a familiar problem for most homeowners. With the TERRO Fruit Fly Trap, you can get the best of these annoying household pests in no time! This fast-acting trap uses a non-staining liquid bait to lure adult fruit flies inside. Once the flies enter the trap, they cannot escape to continue breeding and multiplying. The trap also features an attractive apple-shaped design that will look at home in any kitchen.
How Do Fruit Fly Traps Work?
Fruit flies depend on moist organic debris. The TERRO Fruit Fly Trap lures adult fruit flies to the trap using a special food-based liquid lure. Flies that enter the trap through one of the many funnel-shaped holes are unable to escape and continue breeding. In a matter of days, you should begin to notice a dramatic decrease in the number of fruit flies around your home.
Locate Breeding Areas
When trying to eliminate fruit flies, the key to success is locating their breeding areas. You’ll typically spot fruit flies swarming around kitchen fruit bowls and near garbage cans. Place traps near kitchen counters, sinks, dishwashers, unrefrigerated fruits and vegetables, or any other location where fruit is stored.
Attractive Apple Design
Gone are the days of unsightly traps taking up space inside your home! This trap features an attractive apple-shaped design that will look at home in any kitchen. It also blends in with the fruit these pests love! For your convenience, the trap also has a built-in window, allowing you to keep an eye on catches and lure levels.

There was a problem filtering reviews right now. Please try again later.
I set out four of them in various places in my kitchen, and three days later, they had each trapped and killed, at the very least, a couple dozen gnats. It's made a massive difference. I refilled them with clean solution and I have no doubt that I will soon be free of the last of these pests.
A couple notes:
- The smell has not been an issue at all. The strong vinegar smell has not been remotely noticeable, except for when I've taken the tops off the traps to fill them or to clean out dead bugs. This product did not make my kitchen smell vinegar-y, even with four of them in the same small room.
- When you first set out one of these traps, you're probably going to notice the fruit flies congregating on the top of it. It will look like they're all just hanging out on the trap, but none are going inside. It can be frustrating to see, but the trap *is* gradually luring the bugs inside. My advice: Just leave it undisturbed. When you notice the bugs aren't gathering on top anymore, it's time to dump out the dead ones inside it.
TERRO T2502 Ready-to-Use Indoor Fruit Fly Trap with Built in Window won the war in less than 48 hours. I awakened to find them all dead in little red trap.
This product is super easy to use. Following the instructions - open bait and pour into trap; put it on a flat surface and leave it alone.
Thanks
