All in all these are nice cases, and I have ordered several more to better organize my boxed ammo and box my loose (bulk ammo bought direct online) ammo. The hinges are legit (not just some weak crimped plastic that will wear out, the latches sure, and the construction is solid enough to hold the weight without undue flexing.

Really that's all I need, but I wish the rounds would better rest on their bullets. The sides of the individual compartments are just to far from the shell casing to keep them properly centered, thus best rest on their base (ie primer down/bullet up). The leeway allows quite a bit of wobble when resting on the bullet. It's safe, but it rattles a lot, is kinda sloppy, and just seems wrong. Do note flat nose, wadcutter, and hollow points may still stand on their bullets (I've only started boxing my plinking ammo, which is all FMJ). Is that a dealbreaker? Nope, but I wish that 9mm ammo better fit in the case.

After my first couple boxes, I've started to box all my 9mm and 10mm/ .45 ACP using  MTM 40/45/10MM Cal 100 Round Flip-Top Ammo Box . I also ordered  MTM 380/9MM Cal 50 Round Flip-Top Ammo Box  for my defensive ammo. Different color options help distinguish boxes of different ammo types, and Iuse Epson LabelWorks Glow-In-the-Dark LC Tape Cartridge~1/2-Inch Black Glow-in-the-Dark (LC-4ZBU1) to label all of my range/bug out bag goodies for easy identification. Yeah I'm a bit crazy.

These boxes fit nicely in the  MTM Ammo Can (Forest Green) , but do note none of the various MTM boxes fit perfectly, so the nicely stacked (and interlocking) ammp boxes wmay slide a bit, but that's no biggie.

There are choices in this product category, but I like MTM above the competition. The latch opens easily while still being securely. It's sturdy, but not overbuilt. This means less bulk on your shelf or in your range bag. It's a simple product and this does what it should - the plastic quality is good and the cartridge sizes are correct. And - the lid stays open nicely. Of course, it comes with stickers. Recommended.

These are excellent ammo boxes and I have bought a few dozen over the years from Amazon, Cabelas, and local stores.
The only issue with buying on Amazon is the prices are usually too high.
I’ll never buy these above a $3.99 price anywhere, and often they exceed this amount on Amazon. Look elsewhere if you can if the price is beyond $3.99.
Great boxes when the price is right.

I've bought these for many different sorts of ammunition. They fit them almost perfectly. You can stack them, which is great, and they don't let the rounds jump around when you're moving them. For the price you pay, these are the best. They have a few other goodies that I've seen as well, and I assume they're just as good.

For the record: I've bought a few other brands to try out, and they just can't compete with MTM. There's always a small seam in the boxes that raises some of them up, and they seem a lot less durable.
