As a parent I appreciated the sturdiness of the toy- while it took some effort putting together (maybe 30 min) and my husband’s strength to snap the pieces together at times, it really seems durable. It included batteries, a Chase blue police vehicle, the Chase and Marshall figures, as well as a few of their “backpacks” that snap into the hole of the Marshall and Chase figures back. They also can be snapped into the door on the elevator to keep them together nicely. The backpacks were big enough for my 3 and 4 yr old that I don’t need to worry about putting them in their mouth, but probably would be a concern for younger children. Unfortunately our other figures that were included in ultimate rescue vehicles purchased separately don’t seem to have the holes for backpacks. Probably the most frustrating part is all the vehicles, figures, backpacks, etc sold separately that most kids will also want in order to fill up all the parking spots on the base and to be able to get the most out of this toy.
Includes:
Tower, Chase vehicle, Chase and Marshall figures, Chase and Marshall backpacks. 2- AAA Batteries.
Does not include:
Rocky (Green), Skye (Pink), Zuma (Orange), Rubble (Yellow) or Marshall’s vehicle (Red). (Also the boy, Ryder and his ATV. And if you want to go all out then you’ll need Everest (purple/white).
What vehicles fit?
Seems like all the basic and ultimate rescue vehicles fit, sea patrollers too, but I’ve seen conflicting information. Look at the dimensions, the ones around 5-6” will fit. The actual pads the vehicles sit on are 4” wide by 5-3/4” long. Only the wheels need to rest on the pad, so the overall vehicle could be slightly longer. Much longer cars would work but would hang over the edge and probably fall off when the base of the tower is rotated.
If giving as a Birthday present or Christmas gift, I really recommend putting together beforehand. There are multiple pieces and the directions are a little tricky. Make sure the pieces really “snap” in place. Thankfully, all the stickers are already attached.
