You get what you pay for, my son is 3 & absolutely loves this kit but being 3 & most of the stuff is cheap plastic it definitely won’t last long. The netting on the red & blue bug cage has already broke but I’m sure an older kid would take better care of it. I attached some pictures of the compass that my 1 year old got open that has a sharp piece inside just so anyone buying can either glue it (since the silver part literally just pops off) or take it out of the kit in case you also have curious & crafty kids lol. It didn’t poke either of them but it got me pretty good. Just would hate to notice that & have someone’s baby poke themselves.
