About the author
Melissa Brayden is a multi-award winning romance author of twenty-three novels published with Bold Strokes Books. She is currently hard at work on her next and embracing the full-time writer’s life in San Antonio, Texas.
Melissa is married and working really hard at remembering to do the dishes. For personal enjoyment, she spends time with her family, her Jack Russell Terriers, and checks out the NYC theater scene as often as possible. She considers herself a reluctant patron of spin class, but would much rather be sipping wine and staring off into space. Kissing scenes remain her favorite.

POTENTIAL SPOILERS
I felt that the last 30% of this story showed unnecessary angst and also the MCs as weak, which seemed out of character. Megan makes certain choices from fear that seemed to come out of nowhere - and you know, I can sort of understand her and even accept her characters trajectory. BUT Ally, who seemed to be strength personified makes choices that were just beyond my grasp of her character! Brayden is awesome at writing characters who openly communicate and don't fall into the trope of silly misunderstandings compounded by immature choices...this wasn't delivered in the last 30%. I can't understand how Brent could remain decent with Ally after what she put him through and how Ally didn't put Betsy in her place. Loved Megan learning patience and how Ally didn't forgive Megan straight away but overall I couldn't lose myself in the story due to the way the MCs dealt with everything, so I was less invested in whether they ended up together and how that came about. If this were any other author I would've given the book 3.5.
Allison Hale was used to doing what other people wanted of her. Not exactly a pushover she certainly didn’t push back on any plans made for her. Now Brent was a super nice guy but his family were known for their money and the ruthless way the Carmichael’s conducted business. Now before family and friends Brent asked her to marry him, Allison went along with the plan. It didn’t help that her family also operated a little bakery and were eagerly awaiting for their prize ‘Dash Bar’ to make its way to the grocery stores operated by the Carmichael’s.
None expected the attraction between Allison and her wedding planner Megan. Great characters with a believable story line. I’ve always enjoyed Ms Brayden's books but this one was special. Very, very enjoyable read.

Honestly, I liked Megan and Ally, and that made the book decent. That is all I will say about it.
