Unaccessible via Kindle Cloud Reader?

Unaccessible via Kindle Cloud Reader?
I've really been enjoying this entire series, I haven't yet finished reading, but I ran into an issue where I couldn't open this book in the Kindle Cloud Reader for some reason? I typically swap back and forth between reading something on my phone in the Kindle app, or via the Cloud reader on my laptop, so this is a bit annoying.

John Lee is the guy who gets things done. Feed him enough chocolate and give him something impossible to do and he'll get it done. I love this guy. This time he helps save a space pirate base. Except they really seem more a last stop for the people who don't fit in and won't give up. The world(s) the author makes and his hero is plucky, angry, passionate, smart and thinks about how to fix the broken things in the world. I really enjoy how often he gets curb stomped every book. I binged the audiobooks for 1-7 which were great and read this one. Bonus for all the explosions. Not much on the romance side this time. The battle throughout the pirate base was epic. Reminds me a bit of recent supers book by Drew Hayes: Raising Hephestus.

I enjoyed reading this book very much and I recommend this book to anyone who like LitRPG and progression type of books. Plenty of action.

Hurray this series is back! After a cracking first couple of books by book 6 this series was close to unreadable. World unbound was a struggle to read, was poorly connected to its characters and had no context, worst was the poorly construction charters motivations and emotional connections. Book 7, was much improved, more going on. This book was actually fun again! Hurray! Not the best but another like this one will put this back at the top of my litrpg series recommendations.

This story is both bigger, and smaller than the others. Context is closer to John and his immediate team, more fights and action while set on a wider galactic scale. Still a bit of a stretch in context to some of the politics but foesnt spoil it too much. Tao Wong should put less focus on geopolitics and unnecessary moody, confused relationship characters are rollout focus on where the story shines, some great litrpg, with a couple of main characters.

May only deserve 4 stars but I'm making it 5 in hope that Tao recognizes that this story is sets a direction to build on.

Another great read from the author of the series. Can't wait to read more from the author of the series. Plenty of action and adventure and developing storyline between characters.

i admit i am a little spoiled. last year i got to buy/read all 7 books in a row. preordered this one straight away but got to it only now.
all i can say is that it is beyond great and while i understand the need for indie authors to write multiple series.. i still hate that they do.

john meets a new master class friend and he is big. we do not fight on land, we fight in space. which is fun. this one does not end with a cliffhanger (sort of). everyone levels up and there is more death and mayhem.

This book is definitely more of a standalone in terms of its plot, starting somewhere barely connected to the prior book, and ending somewhere unrelated to the bulk of the plot. But I get where the author is going with it, and taking the time to develop the main character in transition will be worth it as the series focus comes closer to resolving. Really good entry to the series and with very few editing errors that seem to plague this genre.

This installment of the spectacular series is full of action. There are a number of fight scenes that decidedly fall into the realm of epic. Now that John has fully moved into the wider world of the Galactics, the players are on a much higher power level. This all serves to push the ultimate plotlines along and provides a wild ride for the reader.

Another book in the series voraciously consumed - the only disappointment is that book 9 isn't written yet as I am desperately hungry for where the story goes from here.

I enjoyed this book among others in this series. I'm writing a review since Amazon is screwing with authors and making folks write a review rather than just star it in order for the author to get credit or whatever for the review. So I'm writing one.

The book is amazing. The series is great. I don't like to review individual books in a series so that's why I usually give it the stars, then review the series as a whole if possible.

Read the books. This series is great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Action in Space

This is another one where we see so much more of the larger picture and, of course, the overall team dynamics showcase a slightly different setup.
For all of the differences, the overall changes are a welcome addition to the series as we see massive action.

This book is great. It tells the story of John had being doing after the last book, this time he and his team goes to a pirate station because of his growing bounty, it shows a bit of the life of a pirate station and he needs to do some quests to raise his reputation to get access to the inner modules of the station. Of course things go south and John sees himself in a giant problem.

If you've been following the series then you won't be disappointed. Changing the scope and the setting makes the series and characters still seem fresh, and at no time, even this deep into the series, does the protagonist feel overpowered or that fights are too easy. The theme of the system quest has in many ways taken over as the primary motivation, and I'm excited to see where that leads in future books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Slower than usual but still amazing

Damn, it's been a while since I've read the previous books, and with so many similar ones in the interim I had a hard time remembering what happened in this one.

But still, the read was very pleasant, and it's interesting to see how the character is melanconic, nearly nihilistic at the beginning, but then slowly gets out of it by the end of the book.

If it wasn't for the fact that it's impossible, I'd have said he's fallen into depression and is just letting events carry him rather than burning his own path.
