    I bought this as a travel device to save carrying around MacBook Air - even though that is light by laptop standards. So far I am really pleased with the iPad mini - as with all Apple products, the experience is smooth and the device appears robust. It is beautifully designed and engineered made with what seem to be robust materials. So the device is sleek, easy to handle, with seamless operation and functions. It is a delight to use.

    I am using it for document editing, emails as well as leisure viewing of videos, audio podcasts and reading news. It also replaces my e-reader as I can read my e-books much more easily - the read quality is wonderful. Much less to carry around when travelling.

    There are limitations - having yet another power input is a real nuisance and I wish that manufacturers would standardise. No USB/HDMI equivalent outlet, data card feature and any other connectivity other than wifi is a serious limitation so I wouldn't want to spend large amounts on an ongoing basis without apple buying into features that other devices offer. I don't live in the US and travel to places where networks and wifi are seriously limited.

    I bought this iPad mini for recording song demos at home, but I'm sure I'll end up using it for much more. It is so responsive, screen is super sharp, and the volume turns up pretty loud so even when not hooked up to speakers I can listen back to tracks easily and hear everything I need to. This is my first time switching over from Android to Apple, and I hate to say it but I really do prefer the Apple products, they are far superior so far. So glad I chose this product and I'm sure I'll be an Apple convert for a long time.

    Our house was recently burglarized and among the things taken was an iPad Pro 10.5 512GB with cellular capability. I don't have the cash laying around to replace it so I bought the iPad mini 4 to make do until I can save up my pennies for the iPad Pro again. I was surprised at how little I found missing versus the iPad Pro. Although the screen is smaller, it is just as brilliantly sharp and readable as on the Pro. I think I prefer the smaller size of mini. The camera is only so-so versus the great camera of the Pro. However the ergonomics for using the camera on any iPad stinks and the shutter speed is too slow to always avoid camera shake in either iPad. One thing I miss is the great sound quality of the stereo speakers in the pro versus the so-so monophonic speaker in mini. But this doesn't matter when I connect the mini to my stereo system via the headphone jack or use a Bluetooth speaker bar. I bought the Apple pencil with the Pro but ended up never using it. (The Apple pencil only works on the Pro.) If the mini has a slower CPU than the pro, it isn't evident to me. Of course the mini has less memory and I'm not able to load it up with all the photos, music and podcasts as I had on the Pro. I strongly urge getting the mini with 128GB instead of 32GB for this reason. Comparing the iPad mini to the iPad Pro is sort of like comparing budget airline seats to first class airfare. Everyone gets to their destination regardless of how much they paid.

    I purchased this iPad Mini 4 after misplacing (long story) my older version Mini. The first thing I noticed was how much lighter the 4 is. The rest is pretty much the same, I'm not a huge techy person. Basically, it works great and is much lighter in weight. If I could change anything, it would be a better way to hold it without losing my screen from touching it. In all, I'm very happy with my purchase.

    I bought a 128gb iPad Mini 4. I was worried after purchasing it because I read other reviews that stated they received refurbished ones. I started dreading its arrival because I got it for a steal! And I figured it would make sense for it to be refurbished if I paid less than 400$ for it...but was pleasantly surprised when it arrived quickly and in a brand new, sealed box! I love the size and it's very light weight (easy to carry around in my lab coat or messenger bag) compared to the iPad 3. I have had no issues with connectivity to Wifi, though it took a few tries connecting to Apple site to activate it. I attribute this to the amount of people accessing the site, not any fault of Amazon or the seller. It was easy to log on and redownload all the apps I had on my iPhone. I read quite a bit at night, to help me sleep, and I can tell you, the Mini doesn't hurt as much as a full-sized iPad 3 hitting you in the face! In fact, I fall asleep with it often and don't even realize it.

    There are more flaws conceptually with this thing that I can count, primarily the supposedly intuitive interface and the continual "upgrades" to the OS. Overall, however, I love the look and feel of the thing, and the enormous capacity for my extensive music library. It's also useful if I want to find something on the internet while I'm in bed. Speaking of which, why isn't the tab bar stretchable? I don't have particularly big hands, but it usually takes me half a dozen attempts to close a tab because the X is so small.

    My Voyage charge port stopped working. I researched replacing it with the new paperwhite or oasis but many reviews were not good.
    I spent less and got more by going to the mini iPad 4. It weighs 4 oz more which is an adjustment. The night shift feature helps to cut down on excessive light at night. It loaded all my books quickly to the app. It has the advantage of doing more than serving as a reader and I can view my books and magazines in color. As with my iPhone, it uses battery up faster than said but my kindle used it much faster. I didn’t opt for cellular service so I will miss the free cellar feature.
    In the end I had to go with a product that was highly rated over spending $$$ on one that had numerous bad reviews and dissatisfied customers.
