This tab book is fantastic. The tabs are very accurate. Having every Zep tab in one book is even cooler than you can imagine. My playing has seriously improved trying to learn the solos. Learning the rhythm parts and layers on songs like Ten Years Gone have given me an even deeper appreciation of Page's guitar playing and Zep's music. I wish I had this ten years ago.

I am a die-hard Led Head and and a guitar player who performs at small < 100 venues. I am not an academically educated musician, I put my GI Bill toward an MBA and that's working out well. Back on track here, the book is very good of you want to learn all the Zep songs. For those complaining about the book not having this and that, well those items can be found online. My point is, don't be discouraged from buying this book based on reviews by a bunch of musicians' measuring their guitar theory phalluses to see who is smarter. Buy the book, learn the chords, improve from that. What a time we live in where even MUSIC is now right or wrong .......

This book is complete, easy to read and reasonably accurate. Page's mastery of so many styles makes this book a must have for every guitar play whether you like Zeppelin or not (is there anybody who doesn't like Led Zeppelin?) The book sets the standard for music books. I wish there was a similar book containing the entire scores (bass, drums, keyboards, vocals & harmonies. The publisher for "The Beatles Complete Scores" could takes some lessons in typography from this book.

I hesitated to spend the money and left this on my wish list for a while. Eventually, I pulled the trigger and so glad I did. This is the most comprehensive, well printed (as in I’m 55 and the print is large enough that I don’t have to squint). It contains all the tabs for all guitar parts; rhythm, lead, 3rd guitar, solo, etc and very detailed. If you’re a LZ fan and want everything they ever recorded, it’s all right here. Worth the investment!

Faute d'un recueil officiel de paroles de chansons de Led Zeppelin sur le marché, et ne jouant moi-même d'aucun instrument, j'ai malgré tout fait l'acquisition de cet ouvrage relativement cher dans l'espoir d'avoir enfin toutes les paroles officielles, véridiques et complètes des chansons de Led Zep. (Il suffit de comparer les paroles parfois très différentes proposées par plusieurs sites pour la même version d'une même chanson pour comprendre la difficulté de la tâche qui attend les déchiffreurs.)
C'est en partie le cas avec cet ouvrage, que je n'ai pas encore eu l'occasion d'exploiter en entier, loin s'en faut. Parmi les paroles sur lesquelles je me suis penché jusqu'ici, j'ai malgré tout d'ores et déjà constaté des carences, en particulier dans les parties improvisées à la fin de certains morceaux, pour lesquelles les paroles sont incomplètes ("Hots on for Nowhere", par exemple), et en quelques endroits où les paroles proposées ne semblent pas correspondre à celles du chanteur (dans "Royal Orleans", par exemple.)
(Cela est malheureusement trop souvent le cas dans les recueils de partitions, qui proposent même parfois des paroles fantaisistes n'ayant que peu ou pas de rapport avec les paroles réelles, ce qui n'empêche pas les éditeurs de faire payer leurs publications relativement cher. Fin de la digression.)
Dans le cas de "Black Dog", il manque carrément deux couplets correspondant à "See additional lyrics", qui devraient figurer sur la dernière page de la partition, mais qui n'y sont pas. Quant aux paroles proposées pour la fin de la chanson, de toute évidence improvisées par Plant, il est quasiment impossible de les repérer ou de les vérifier tellement elles sont noyées derrière les instruments, si tant est qu'elles y soient vraiment, car elles ne figurent dans aucune version "live" de ce morceau. A se demander d'où elles sortent.
Je suppose que je trouverai malheureusement d'autres exemples de ce genre au fur et à mesure de l'exploitation de cet ouvrage.
C'est la raison pour laquelle je ne lui ai mis que 4 étoiles (à défaut de 3,5), en me disant qu'il a malgré tout le mérite d'exister, même s'il ne répond pas totalement à mes espérances.
