Great for 3 year old
5 Stars
Great for 3 year old
I bought this tablet for my son 5 years ago and it worked perfect for him. He is now 7 and has graduated to a bigger and newer version tablet. However this same tablet is now being used by my other son who is 3 and it works perfectly still. We had a 12 hour car ride and there were no issues the whole drive. If it can make it through two boys over 5 years it’s a keeper.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Kid's Tablet
Reviewed in the United States on December 20, 2019
I purchased this tablet for my (almost) 2 year old. We were going on a 15 hour drive and I wanted to be able to download some games and shows she liked for the ride.

Pros:
-This thing is fairly easy to use. I love that it has a parental side and can be used as a normal tablet or I can switch it to her side. I've never had a tablet before. It took me a day or two of fiddling with it to really get it down.
- The Amazon Freetime that comes with it is awesome. My daughter really loves Sesame Street and that was on there. You can download videos by holding down on the video and selecting the option when it pops up. You can download 25 things at a time.
- Their warranty truly is AMAZING. We had this thing two weeks when my daughter took off with it and chucked it into the dog's water bottle. FYI. Not water even slightly water resistant. The Amazon rep had a new one my way without any questions and sent me a shipping label to mail the old one back. I did it all via the web chat. Didn't even have to call.

Now for the one con I found...
- On the child's side of things, none of the apps have names... just pictures. And if they aren't downloaded already and your kid clicks on it they have to wait for it to download. If they don't click the app in the already down loaded section (but lets say click the app from the category- it will download AGAIN). That's super inconvenient and makes a mess of your apps. I usually disconnect it from the internet before I give it to her so the only stuff she can see/click on is what is already on the tablet.

Overall, this is definitely worth the buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to set up, long battery life, age appropriate, keeps kids entertained on long trips
Reviewed in the United States on January 5, 2020
Bought two of these for my sons, ages 5 & 8. I'm constantly going to the vet for our 2 pups (checkups, dental, emergencies, grooming, training, and behavior). It's an hour away from our house and our sons hate sitting there. Also go to the doctor a lot for our younger son's special health needs at least once a week. Although they're both well behaved and get along great, we can only expect so much out of two active young boys. So, we ordered these to add some variety in their "Outing Backpacks"(they each have a small backpack for outings each filled with a coloring book and markers, 2 reading books, snacks, water, and 2 small toys of their choosing).

These arrived perfectly packaged in their boxes with instructions on how to use them.

Pros:
Arrive quickly and perfectly intact
Amazon has a "payment" option if you don't feel like forking over all the money at once
Easy to set up
Has many features to it(like dimming blue light and setting up curfew) that parents all need
Age appropriate games to each child's age
Cover that comes with it is child resistant(withstands our gremlins)
Charges fairly quickly for the amount of time the battery lasts
Great battery life compared to most tablets we've owned
Doesn't require Wi-Fi /internet connection to use apps once they have already been installed
Bright enough screen to use on a sunny day
Parent restricted purchases
Can have multiple profiles in one tablet for multiple users(Kids can even choose a password and profile picture)
Memory is enough for my kids
Can even set up time limitations
Speakers are fairly loud and have a aux hookup for earphones!
Kids can choose what they want on their profile
Perfect sized tablet for tiny hands

Cons:
Because the screen is glass, it will eventually scratch and/or crack.(I ordered a tempered glass screen protector in advance because my Kids are kids).
The cover doesn't come with a stand, so, kids will have to hold it up the whole time(you can always order a compatible cover with a stand or an independent stand).
DOES require Wi-Fi /internet connection for first initial setup and for a new app, book, video to be installed(once installed you'll no longer need Wi-Fi for that app)
Kids being kids, they'll leave dirty prints/smudges on the screen that are very visible(we encourage better hygiene and have them carry a few lens wipes packs in their backpacks so they can clean them).
Colors for cases are limited(can always order another from a compatible source).

All in all, it's a great tool for any families with little ones that get bored in "grown up" settings(ex:restaurants, airplanes, doctor, etc). We love being able to monitor what they do on their tablets and limiting web browsing. DisneyPlus is also in their tablets...so, they get to watch things when I'm trying to talk to their teachers, doctors, etc.

Beware:
Children can get hooked to electronics very easily. Which is why we LOVE the time limitations feature. We limit to 30 minutes per day and, if needed/wanted, we can unlock it for them and give them additional time with our "Parental Control" password. They don't know the password. They also do extra chores around the house to be able to use them every so often. We're keeping these!
