Correct, only one needs to be connected to the router. You can connect up to 4 additional units but they do need to be within range of the Ethernet connected unit. I have the main connection inthe second floor living room and the remote units connect in the kitchen, two bedrooms, and first floor guest suite.
The master hub (doesn't matter which one but only one can be the master) connects to the modem via Ethernet cable that's included or your own. I doubt it. This was a USA purchase and we have only 110 V electricity. For us on this continent, unless dual voltage is mentioned specifically, it is most probably 110 V.
