Block, Repel, Reduce: Farnam's No Fly Zone Solution!
|
|
|
---|---|---|
Block with Physical BarriersThe most effective way to keep them off the face is to block them completely. A good fly mask protects against dust, dirt and debris. Horses recovering from an eye injury will especially benefit from wearing a mask. |
Repel and Kill PestsYour horse’s personal environment will influence your choice of repellents and help determine whether a spray, spot-on or wipe-on is best. In some cases, a combination will be helpful. |
Reduce Pest PopulationTo complete the No Fly Zone, your horse should be on a feed-through fly control product such as SimpliFly from Farnam. The active ingredients work in the horse’s manure, not the horse’s body itself. |
Use Different Products for Different Scenarios
When it comes to fly control, horse owners have more options than ever before. However, there's no single solution that will completely banish every pest, it's just not that easy! In order to fight flies on all fronts we recommend using our three-stage approach to fly control, BLOCK - REPEL - REDUCE, which means using different products for specific scenarios.

Well I'm gonna tell you about this product this product works. It is absolutely one of the best products that I used on my beloved dogs to read them of those nasty bugs around their eyes in the flies that. Surrounded them because we live in avoided area this stuff works I am not being paid or bought leave a review.
As most of these businesses on Amazon we'll try to buy your review.
Where we live currently has a mosquito problem at the back of the yard and a fly problem by the door (it's where we keep the bins). My poor dog was getting landed on, buzzed around, bothered and bitten at every angle any time we went outside to play or potty. As soon as this came in, I took her outside and sprayed her down from neck to tail, being careful to avoid her eyes, nose and genitals as instructed. She's a short hair breed so I didn't need a lot. I let it dry down for about 10 minutes and then took her out for some playtime. The flies wouldn't come near her. Two mosquitoes attempted a landing but they couldn't stay on her for more than a few seconds at a time. Meanwhile I was being swarmed. Even the gnats stayed away from her.
Pros -
The sprayer has a very fine mist, which means you get a nice even distribution and need less product to get their coat covered.
It works. Period.
Cons-
You have to be careful about where and how you spray it. According to the instructions you should be wearing long pants and a long sleeve shirt to apply, as well as gloves. A bit of a hassle depending on how often you need to reapply. (Not sure about the half life of this yet.)
You also need to be sure you do it outside away from any other people, animals or consumable plants you may be growing.
It smells strongly of something vaguely herbal and chemical mixed together, as expected for an insect repellent. My pup hated it at first and had a bit of a tear around the flat and did some rolling around/wiping at her face but eventually she settled into it just fine.
Overall if you have any kind of fly or mosquito problem or you spend a lot of time outdoors with your pup, I'd highly recommend this spray.
Bought this as a last resort, especially because it can be used on dogs which means it's relatively safe for my dog. Sprayed half a bottle around my patio walls and door frames, all the bugs are just magically gone: flies, mosquitoes. It's been 2 weeks and I have almost never spotted a fly.
