I just moved into a new place with a huge stainless steel sink. I was so excited that I can fit an entire pan in to soak after cooking! I did just that, lifted up my pan to clean it, and found RUST STAINS all over the new sink. I couldn't believe it. I didn't even realize the pan was rusty on the bottom. Nothing would get the rust out - like, hi, I thought this sink was supposed to be stainless? I tried baking soda, white vinegar, lemon juice, anything I already had in the kitchen, as well as some heavy duty cleaners. The stain lifted a teeny bit from the baking soda with a lot of elbow grease but not enough to make a difference. It's been a few weeks and the stains haven't moved from normal use and scrubbing.

I was devastated. I decided to buy this as a last ditch effort. I wish I just bought it immediately but I didn't think it would really help that much. I am so happy to be wrong! I literally put it on the sponge and scrubbed a little and every stains all were instantly removed! I can't believe it. It took less than a minute even though I spent ages trying to scrub it out before. My sink is perfect again! I wish I took before and after pics. If you're hesitating at all, just buy it! It really works and I'm so relieved I didn't permanently damage my new sink!

I usually don't leave reviews. Who has time? But I would like to share how well this stuff works! I have a white porcelain kitchen sink. It's over 10 years old. It was getting more and more discolored with tea and rust stains, and had scratches from washing pots and pans that would no longer respond to my usual cleaning efforts. I don't use harsh chemicals. I only use mild soap and vinegar for everyday cleaning. However, I used to use bleach once in a while to get rid of tough stains. But recently, bleach didn't work anymore. I thought I had ruined my sink by using bleach. I figured I was going to have to buy a new sink. I did some research and decided to try Barkeepers Friend first. I thought it was just another cleanser, but let me tell you, my sink looks brand new! I got excited and tried it on a faint, rust stain on my bathroom sink. Tried everything. Then tried Barkeeper's Friend. Stain gone. My faucets all look shinier. Inside the toilet bowl...no more hard water stains!....works better than ANYTHING I've tried. You have to use a little elbow grease, but....so what??? Saved me hundreds of dollars.

Short version: great cleaner, good scrubber, does a better job than all purpose cleaner and scrubby side of a sponge. Have not tested on bathroom porcelain or granite sinks yet. Quality seems good on everything, and they shipped quickly.
Long version:
My mom has been hounding me about Bar Keeper's Friend for a long time now. She's always used the powder form around the house - mainly on a stainless kitchen sink, but also in the bathroom from time to time on various surfaces.
I bought it to see if I could restore a little shine to an older stainless sink (the same one my mom used to clean, 30 years ago, before she sold the house and I bought it back 15 years later). Stainless doesn't seem to need that much maintenance. I've often just used an old sponge whose scrubby side had some life left, along with some multipurpose cleaner, scrubbed hard, and gotten decent results. Bar Keeper's Friend seemed to do a better job, albeit not WAY better, but you can tell the difference. Our sink is pretty well worn and scratched up. This didn't polish it, but the surface didnt feel as... Sticky? Or it just felt a cleaner when I was done. I imagine this is partly due to the scrubber that comes with this, and has a lot to do with Bar Keeper's Friend.
The milky white cleaner turned almost gray after scrubbing the stainless sink, and I was immediately taken back to my dishwasher days at the local diner, and the smell of the cleaner we used there, with steel wool, on the main stainless surfaces. It's not an overpowering, chemical smell, but there's definitely some odor there. The instructions also state to rinse it within a minute of application so that it doesn't dry.
I'm still going to test this out on a porcelain sink upstairs that suffered a minor leak (a drip every minute or two) and left a calcium deposit circle around the drain, as well as a granite vanity and sink downstairs that have some hard water staining on some surfaces. I imagine I will need to reseal or polish the granite surfaces afterwards, but they're not in great shape now. I'll try to come back and update my review at that time.

Worked wonders on my enameled brass tray table!

Wow, this stuff is amazing. Bought a brass tray table locally for cheap and it desperately needed a good cleaning. Broke out the Brasso and started to work the edges, but I was running out and the fumes were getting to me. Plus I had to scrub a bit harder, which concerned me as I did not want to damage the enamel. Ordered BKF hoping this would do the trick and be easier to use....and it was! Needing only the soft side of a wet sponge and minimal scrubbing, this tray came alive! I did use the scrubber side on some tough burn marks and now those are gone too. Worked in small sections so I could wipe it off quickly with a damp rag. Whole topside of the 26” tray took about 15 minutes.

Absolutely awesome product! No toxic smell (slight lemon scent), no heavy scrubbing, and now I can see the beautiful brass and colors of the enamel. First two pictures are of the tray as purchased and last two are after using BKF.

HIGHLY recommend for non-lacquered brass. Haven’t used on other objects yet, but excited to see more transformations.
