You are going to love this story. I loved that it takes place in Alaska, it's different. Lex hasn't been back home since the loss of her Dad. Now she is back to face her loss and to bring to get small hometown a clinic. Not only is she back but she is bringing her Doctor friend Hollis. Drake has loved Lex since the first day he noticed her, so when she broke up with him he didn't understand. Now she is back and he is determined to show her that he isn't ready to let her go, he will win her back. With her back thing are happening in this fall town and they ate directly happening to Lex, when Drake and his family come together to protect her, pieces of the mystery puzzle start to fall into place. Will Lex be about to get pass the betrayal of the ones that she called family will Drake be enough to keep her for leaving again.

For anybody who likes a romantic novel and a side of drama this is the one. Drake knows when he first saw Lex that she was the one. And for years everything was perfect until she receives a letter from her father who had recently passed away. That changed her world and turned it upside down. Two years pass and Lex is finally home. Neither them have lost feelings that they felt before still both deeply in love with each other . Trying to move past what happened . The real question being who wrote the letter that her father supposedly wrote? Who does Lexi consider her family? Who tried to hurt her? And who is by her side when all of her questons are answered? And who will she never talk to again because of the betrayal?

I could read this book time and time again and I would still love it as if I first read it . Love the way Kirstin Mayers describes the Settings the characters in the story is truly amazing .

Kristin Mayer is good at writing stories with multiple layers. What you think will just be a second chance romance turns into a mystery with family issues galore.

Drake and Alexa were very much in love until something/someone(s) tore them apart. Learning that their relationship had been sabotaged is a low blow. To be honest -I thought Drake was a little too forgiving, but that's just the type of guy he is.

"You are the most amazing thing that has ever happened to me." Swoon!

It's hard to be frustrated with Alexa when she was under incredible strain when she allowed them to be pulled apart.

This novel will have you guessing who they can trust and who they can't. You will definitely grow to despise some of the side characters. But you will definitely love the Foster brothers - looking forward to their books to come.
