Amazon.com

Offering all the benefits of the Intex Raised Downy airbed but with the added advantage of lighter weight and mid-rise height, the Intex Pillow Rest inflatable airbed is ideal for travelers who want the comforts of a bed but the convenience of a blow-up mattress. The Pillow Rest is equipped with a quality-tested, 20.8-gauge, waterproof flocked top, along with 15-gauge vinyl beams and 16-gauge sides and bottom. The resulting surface is comfortable and secure, whether you're sleeping at the in-laws' overcrowded house or setting up a guest bed in the basement. In addition, the Pillow Rest is remarkably easy to inflate thanks to the built-in, high-powered electric pump, which does its job in a mere three minutes. No more fussing with tiring hand or foot pumps or rummaging through the garage for your detached electric pump. And should the mattress feel a little too soft or firm, you can customize the comfort level with the touch of a button.

The Pillow Rest is raised 17.5 inches from the floor, making it far taller than most inflatable mattresses, and includes built-in pillows for added comfort. And at 39by 16.5 by 75 inches (W x H x L), the mattress is an official twin size, making it a good fit for fitted sheets. The Pillow Rest--which offers a capacity of 300 pounds--comes with an AC power cord, a shoulder strap, and a duffel bag.

Regarding inflation:

Measurements will vary based on the manner in which it is inflated and packaging disclaims “approximate size”.

Airbeds are measured from the widest point including the beams (bulges) on the side and off the tallest point from the floor including built-in pillows if applicable.

Location, temperature, and humidity will affect the airbed’s firmness. Airbeds will need to be occasionally re-inflated (topped off) to maintain desired firmness when used for more than a few days as vinyl tends to relax over time.

Pretty good so far!
I often sleep at my boyfriends place. I'd say 2-5 nights out of the week. I've used this bed about 10 times now and I deflate it every night :) it's pretty good! It does deflate a bit though the night (hence the 4 stars out of 5) but it's nothing serious. I've only woken up with my back hurting once out of those 10 times, so that may be due to how I am sleeping. Also, the mattress will squeak if it's rubbing up against anything. I did want to add that I put an egg crate on top of the mattress to give it a little softer feel, and on cold nights I put a fuzzy blanket on top of that to keep in the heat. Over all it's very comfy and I sleep well thought the night.

My wife and I were in need of an air bed. I had surgery on my leg this week, and it was decided that I'd have our regular bed to myself for a few weeks. So we needed a place for my wife to sleep, as several weeks on the sofa isn't a great idea. So I set out looking for an air bed. We didn't know one brand from another, so it came down to reviews and price.

There seemed to be two sticking points with people. First, did the thing come with a pump, and how did it feel? Price too to a lesser extent. I did notice that some beds do not come with a pump, and you're looking at an additional $25 on average for a decent sized pump. We were looking for something decent, I didn't want the cheapest one imaginable, but I wasn't looking to break the bank either.

So I happened upon this one. After reading the reviews, I decided to take the plunge. My wife has slept on it for a couple of nights, and has said it is OK. I think that's what most people here who are ragging on it aren't taking into account. THIS IS AN AIR BED. If you buy this (or any other one) expecting it to feel the same as your regular box spring and mattress, then you're missing the point. Air beds aren't meant to be the same. My wife says it's comfortable enough, but she wouldn't want to sleep on it long term. Which is the point of these. Short term bed. It feels great. It has kind of a water bed feel to it (especially if you don't fill it to max capacity).

The air pump is built into the unit, you basically open a hatch, take out the plug, put it in the wall, and go. You run the pump by deciding whether or not you are going to inflate or deflate it (it sucks air out too). It filled the whole thing in about 2-3 minutes. It's somewhat loud, but not excessively loud, so if you're in a place where quiet is an issue, this might be a concern, but I imagine any pump would be that way.

Some reviews talk about leakage or punctures. Sure, it's got the potential for punctures, but what air bed does not? The package comes with a puncture repair for a few minor leaks, but we have had it inflated for a week now, and have not yet had to refill it.

It's good quality, it's cheap, and has a pump. We give it five stars, as my wife can sleep on it, and it does the job. Recommended!

I live in Florida and thus get a lot of out of town visitors. We have two guest bedrooms. One has a queen bed and the second only a single twin bed & that room also doubles as my wife's little office for her things (all of the good stuff and computers are in my office).

On occasion it would be nice to have another twin bed in that room so I purchased this blowup one. I really like it and it is kind of neat. Of course I really didn't want to pay a lot of money for this once in a while gizmo and looked around & read some reviews. I wanted one that was just not a mattress on the floor, could be made up to look reasonable nice & blew its self up/no foot pumps.

This item seemed to fit all my requirements and for $30 my price range. I even decided to use the "Buy used and save" and ordered once that the outside box was a little damaged - so mine only cost me $25!

I pulled it out of the box and noticed it came with its own carrying bag (nice to store it in), Threw it on the floor, glanced at the instructions - turned the air dial all the way clockwise to inflate, plugged it in & turned it on. In about 2 minutes it was fully inflated. NOTE it does not stop by its self, you have to turn it off.

It rises a good deal off the floor, probably only a few inches shorter than my existing real twin bed. It seems reasonable comfortable for both my wife & even my big old self 6'0" 250lbs with just a quick test. But it is an air bed & has the unmistakable air mattress ridges or baffles. BUT for my use & most other peoples use this is a temporary bed that will not be use by someone every day.

Another nice feature, is when you are done using it - you open the air valve by turning it all the way counter clockwise to deflate & turn the motor on. It will suck the air out of it for you. When it is almost complete deflated, grab the bottom with the motor still on and roll it up like a rug. Turn the motor off, unplugged it and store the cord away. Flop the two end over the top & throw it in the bag - very easy.

I bought this bed back in January of 2017 for $32 and I didn't know what to expect. After 6 months of use I still don't have any issues. The first couple of days I felt like it was leaking because it wouldn't be as firm in the morning as the previous night. In the owner's manual it says that it's normal, but I wasn't so sure. I refilled the bed with air every night for about a week and I noticed that material stretched slightly every day. At the end of the week it stopped feeling soft and kept the level of firmness that I'm comfortable with (I've had my other regular beds at the highest firm setting). The bed dimensions hadn't changed drastically, but it didn't seem as rectangular as the first time I inflated it. The inflation process was decent (took about 5 minutes) and is slightly louder than a vacuum cleaner.
The first thing I noticed when I laid down was that the pillow is much smaller that I thought it would be. Still ended up using my regular pillow. It's very squeaky when you move around, so if you have a roommate who wakes up easily or don't want to be heard when you're moving around I don't recommend it for you. I'm not sure if having a carpet floor would help reduce the noise level, but perhaps putting a towel underneath might help reduce noise (I have wood floors). The ridges on the bed stay very plump and although I never had any problems with comfort I'm not a big fan of them. I just ended up putting a blanket instead of a bedsheet and that solved the problem. The bed is very comfortable and stays cool during the night.
For the low price this bed is really worth your money. If I could change one thing about this bed is that I wish it would make less noise when you're rolling around in your sleep.

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid Air Mattress
Reviewed in Canada on October 3, 2018
It's an air mattress, I'm honestly not sure what some people were expecting... It does the job, it's comfortable, and the self-inflating is fast and effective. If you weigh close to the capacity and use it every night, then ya its going to deflate. However, as a spare for a guest, or a mattress for while your saving money for a bed, then its a steal.

EDIT:

It's been two weeks now, and the mattress is still holding strong. You do have to reinflation it every few nights to keep it super firm, but that's not a big deal. Some people have mentioned it being not very comfortable, but I find if you put a blanket overtop of your sheet then it's great! It just doesn't hold body heat with it...being filled with air. Lastly, I suspect that the people mentioning it deflating have not properly closed the air release after filling it. There is a turn able nob beside the switch that when you turn will deflate the mattress. It will fill no matter if it's closed or not, and it doesn't obviously look like a nob at first. So...that may be the issue.

TOTALLY with the money :)
