I own two of these and would certainly buy another one if I had to. I use these baskets almost daily for my Aldi / grocery store runs. If you hit a pothole hard enough or ride like you stole it hopping curbs and stuff - the basket will come off when it's empty but if you're like me and you take it mostly easy then it will be no problem. I get compliments on my baskets all the time. 10/10 or 5 stars from me.

The basket has roughly the same volume as a large brown-paper shopping back. You could probably fit six cans of soup in the bottom. or you could fit two large cans of coffee. Or you could fit two large boxes of Uncle Ben's minute rice. So, if you go to the market a couple of times a week for bread, fruits, and veggies; this should be perfect.
Pros:
(1) The basket seems heavy and durable, but light enough hat I can carry it around the grocery store.
(2) Not a metal worker, but the handle is very solidly connected to the basket. I think the hooks that hold the basket to the rear rack would bend before the handle breaks off. Plus, the plastic grip fits my hand perfectly.
(3) The hooks that hold the basket to the rack are relatively solid. I think they could be stronger if they were better integrated into the basket itself, but it seems likely that any load heavy enough to bend them on the bike would make me regret carrying it around the grocery store.
(4) I know that if I can fit the groceries in the basket at the market, then I can get them home on my bicycle. Something I always worried about with traditional panniers.
Cons:
(1) I was thrilled to see the hook in the back that holds the basket to the rack stays/supports/pannier blockers. However, due to its shape and tight clearance to the basket itself, it can be difficult to use in practice. Especially if you are attempting to hang the basket on the rack once it is full of groceries. If you keep the basket on 24/7 it won't be a problem, but I use my bike as a car replacement so I like being able to ride with no panniers or with traditional panniers depending on what I am doing. So, I may remove it or simply use a bungee to keep the basket from bouncing around.
(2) I worry that the hooks that hold the basket on the rack will wear on my rack a bit over time. Having said that, a bicycle rack is a tool and tools are meant to be used.
(3) Obvious in retrospect, but the basket has a pretty large volume. A traditional pannier would tend to collapse to the size of its contents, but the basket has the same volume empty or filled as you mount/dismount/ride the bicycle.
Overall, I like this basket quite a bit so far. I will probably buy a second one in a few months if my opinion doesn't change. The ability to take the basket off the bike, use it to purchase the groceries, and remount the filled basket on the bike is pretty helpful. And, unlike other clothe or insulated bicycle market/grocery bags, I don't have to worry about a sugary drink or a cut of meat leaking since it is - well - a wire mesh basket.
Will update this review in six months or so after I get some significant use from the basket.
I have two, and my kids have them for their school bags when we bike to school.
They slide easily over your bike rack rails, best feature is they come off and on easily. I carry them into the store when shopping, and load them directly at checkout. No bags needed. Take them directly inside at home to unload. I can't do huge shops, but like another reviewer said, think of an old-school large size brown paper shopping bag, but can pack tighter because rigid. I'd say I've done 15-20 lbs on each side. Welds are plenty burly. Coating has worn a bit where metal touches. I tried to pad my rails a bit with some padding to absorb shock from bumps, but it chewed through.
If you're rolling fast and hit a bump, the baskets can jump up high enough to come off, especially if empty. It takes a pretty big jar. If you want to avoid this and leave them on your bike more permanently, you can use metal hose clamps to clamp the rail of the bike rack to the top rail of the basket, I did this on my kids' bikes. (I tried zip ties but they break quickly), and use the provided bolt fastener on the vertical stay.
To preserve the on/off feature for me, I use voile straps (see photo, these things blow away bungees, which are too fussy to use regularly)....I have two shorter straps for each rail, but you could use one long one that just wraps each rail of the basket and tightens under the bike rack. I do have a longer bungee that I use on occasion to secure stuff that's getting a bit high--or overflow that I've put on the platform of the bike rack itself.
These things are going strong! Oh yeah, the fine mesh at the bottom is great to secure loose stuff like a candy bar or tube of sunscreen/chapstick. Again, no bags needed.
