Bellacorp, Inc values your safety on the road. You might be a recreational trailer hauler or you might be a professional making a living on the road. Either way, tires are your first defense against road accidents. It only makes sense that tire failures cause a lot of accidents. The Bellacorp Tire Pressure Monitoring System is an Onboard, Real Time, Full Time tire safety assistant. Everyone knows that tires should be properly inflated and checked regularly. But drivers get in a hurry, or it is cold, or it is raining and tire pressures go unchecked. This creates a small opportunity for tire failure to occur. The Bellacorp system is meant to stay on at all times while on the road. It sleeps at night and wakes with movement to give you fresh tire pressures for ALL of your tires at a glance. Safety Check done!

All after market TPMS systems share two potential pitfalls (There are only four after market TPMS manufacturers in the world). The first is radio signal integrity between the tire sensors and the monitor. The FCC mandates that this type of product use 433.92 MHz radio frequency. (Blue tooth frequency sensors share this same pitfall, by the way). Many other similar products use the frequency as well: backup cameras, weather stations, and security cameras to name a few. The pitfall occurs because ALL tire sensors are powered by very small camera batteries and are therefore vulnerable to radio signal interference. Small wattage means small radio signal strength. Radio interference causes the system to act erratic on occasion. A repeater (or amplifier) is the cure for this pitfall because it uses 12 volt power. That is why we are currently converting our inventory to include a repeater. We have also made repeaters available for purchase if the kit does not currently come with a repeater. Installing the repeater requires wiring it to a 12 volt power source. We regret this extra step in installation, but it is worth it. A repeater creates 99% signal integrity and insures that pressure and temperature reading are consistently updated.

The second potential pitfall is damaged, weak, and improperly installed tire stems. Our sensors weight .7 ounces. This weight can put strain on faulty tire stems. Please use good judgment when it comes to your tire stems. Inner dually stems must be attached to the wheel. The tire stem MUST NOT wobble. If it does, either install stronger tire stems or discontinue the use of our sensors.

While we have your attention. Our product cannot prevent blowouts from faulty tires or sudden blowouts from road hazards. Quality tires are your first defense against road accidents.

The product destroys some valve stems causing tire failure! Beware unless you want to share my fate!
I installed the pressure monitors on the valve stems as instructed. On a return trip (July of 2019), 3 of 4 valve stems tore and 2 of them started leaking. You can see one of the torn valve stems in the third picture. One of the leaks lead to the catastrophic failure of the tire, shown in the first picture. Note that I was unaware of the leaking valve stems until the tire failed. There was no alarm whatsoever. I replaced the destroyed tire with the spare but then noticed that a second valve stem was leaking so I had to have the trailer flat-bedded to my destination ($650). The really frustrating thing is that I purchased this product to avoid catastrophic tire failure and the darn product actually caused catastrophic failure! Note that I contacted the company prior to posting this review but they offered no relief. I also asked them for additional technical support and they never replied. Due to my use of this product, I had to sit on the side of a busy freeway for several hours, get a tow, and replace a tire along with all of the valve stems. It appears that the weight of the sensors causes these valve stems to fail after a very short time, probably only a few thousand miles. Clearly, this product has not receive sufficient testing.To add insult to injury, make sure NOT to use the included charger to charge anything other than their device. Though it uses a standard micro-USB connector, it does not follow the voltage standard and outputs 12 volts instead of the stipulated 5 volts. If you plug this charger into any other rechargeable device, it will destroy it.Upon further review, I note that another 1-star reviewer (Bond) has the same markings on their rim as I do (compare reviewer-Bond's picture with my third picture). Clearly, the heavy sensors are wobbling at speed causing some valve stems to tear. In the comments to that review, the owner of the company states that steel valve stems are the best. BELLACORP never states that one should only use their product with steel valve-stems. Prior to using their product, my valve stems were not old and were in good repair. Less than a year after installing this product, all of my valve-stems failed. Again, this product needs a lot more testing. In some cases, this product may actually cause a blow-out which could lead to an accident. I was lucky.This is the worst product I have ever purchased on Amazon.

Right up front: I like this system and am very happy with my purchase.

As an automotive executive, I am very familiar with the value of a TPMS system. I wanted to add a system to my camper to improve towing safety. I researched many reviews finding that the Bellacorp system was consistently mentioned as one of the best systems. While I suspect many of the systems would perform adequately, what sold me originally was the fact that the company has included a repeater (previously a $50 option) due to their concern that the frequency utilized is getting crowded and they want to ensure solid performance - this told me a lot about the company. The repeater was simple to install if you have even basic skills.

There are fancier systems, and systems that have more elaborate screens, etc., but I was looking for simplicity and solid performance. The instruction manual is clearly written with significant detail providing excellent documentation of all of the features and options. The setup was simple, fast, and easy. You screw on the sensors, mount the monitor, and you are in business. You can alter all sensor alarm settings to be as sensitive as you wish following the well documented manual.

I tested the accuracy of the pressure sensors with a NIST-traceable pressure sensor and all sensors were spot on, and well within their tolerances. I didn't test the temperature sensors, but all of the sensors accurately measured the ambient temperature of cold tires, and tracked consistently during towing. I checked the alarm sensitivity by removing each sensor, and was rewarded with a nearly instantaneous alarm.

If you are looking for a simple, accurate system with excellent performance at a reasonable cost - look no further. The Bellacorp system met every one of my expectations, and as they are concerned enough with meeting performance expectations to throw in free options, I can see why they are consistently considered one of the top systems around.

At first I had problems until Paul, the Bellacorp customer service rep, asked me a few questions .. including "did I have a weather station in my trailer?".. yes I do... turns out that the outside sensor for most clock or weather stations that show the outside temp use 433mhz frequency for their sensors which is close enough to the frequency that the TPMS sensor also uses so as to cause interference. BUT by using the repeater that BELLACORP sells for their TPMS, the system works great and starts updating tire temp and pressures after about 800' from the start of your trip (they 'sleep" while sitting still to save battery life; motion wakes them up and they start transmitting current data)
I highly recommend BELLACORP because of the customer service I received from Paul, AND recommend that, for best reliability, that you purchase the repeater with the system up front so you don't run into interference like I did at first. Its only about 35 feet from the rear tires of the trailer to the dash of my truck but there is enough metal to overcome in the direct line of sight that without the repeater, the system can be rendered unreliable if ANYTHING is transmitting in the 433mhz range. With the repeater, it boosts the signal enough to overcome all the metal and frequency interference resulting in a reliable tire status AND an alert IF any of the temp or pressure setting you choose to set in the system so you can get stopped BEFORE a failing tire causes hundreds of dollars of damage to your trailer. Even if you don't have any 433mhz interference from other sources, the repeater boosts the signal to get a strong signal past the metal barriers between your tires and the dash of your truck where you want the information, more reliably.

So after 3 years and about 9000 miles I have decided to finally write a review on this TPMS... Over the course of this time frame I have thought many times about what all I wanted to say... how detailed I wanted to get, and now after my first trip this season, I am ready to share my thoughts... However, I will say that I am so ready to be done with this TPMS system, that I am just going to try and be done with this review too...

I originally bought this unit because there were a good number of positive reviews, both here on Amazon as well as other sites. I really liked that not only was it from a smaller, family owned business, but that it was also from right here in the USA. And I'll admit, the somewhat "premium" price point made me feel like I was getting a quality item as well...

But, I was wrong. The preset installation wasn't all that bad, however, the manual is written in a confusing way... then following the manual to make any changes that weren't factory preset was significantly worse... it's just bad and that's all I'll say. The only thing worse is needing to make changes without the manual!

I immediately began getting dropped readings. Time, after time, after time, after time... I would have to pull over, get out, walk back to the tire(s) that weren't reading, unscrew the sensor and screw it back down. Then I would walk back to the truck and cycle though the readings (yeah, it only reads one tire at a time...) and hope that it was finally picking up. For the most part it did... at least for a few more miles, and then I would have to do it all again.

Meanwhile, within the first year, the windshield mount decided to fall off and the sticky substance that is on the suction cup turned to a warm, messy glue ooze that dripped down my window and into the tiny holes over my speaker in the front of my dash... despite my long session trying to remove it all, there is still glue ooze in many of those holes... Looking at other tile views here on Amazon you’ll see others had this same issues, and they also included photos...

After about a year and a half I made efforts to contact the company about dropped readings. Once I reached them I experienced a very rude owner... He could constantly cut me off and not let me finish my sentences, and he insisted that I must have been doing something wrong... despite this though they finally offered to send me a repeater...

This was another reason I choose this TPMS system, because they claimed that it worked great without a repeater, even on longer rigs. Our camper is only 21 feet long and our pathfinder is about 16 feet long. Then of course the distance between the camper tires and the head unit inside the truck is shorter... but I still had so many issues with maintaining a reading. In fact, I don't believe I ever had a single trip in which all 4 monitors read throughout the entire trip before installing the repeater! But now the owner is telling me that he will send out a repeater to place between the sensors and the head unit... (I also see in the current Amazon description that it states that this TPMS system "Includes a free $50 repeater..." so it must not have been just me complaining about this...)

The repeater arrived in a timely manner, and i initially it did seem to help things out, but it didn't come close to completely resolving the issue. Granted, it was less often, but I still experienced dropped readings quite frequently. And not from just one sensor, but from all 4 of them, just randomly.

The middle of 2020 I headed out on a 4000 mile round trip. I actually travelled about 250 miles before the first sensor stopped transmitting data... from that point on, it seemed like they all started taking turns going out. At one point about 1500 miles into my trip I decided to just reboot the entire system... but I didn't have the manual. So, I called the company.... several times... and never got an answer, or a return call. I was just out of luck.

Oh yeah, and somewhere in this time the clip on the dash mount that held the monitor to the mount broke too... which brings me to my next point... this head unit feels sooo cheap... like the little plastic toys that you would get in a kids Happy Meal... then again, some of those toys are likely built with a better quality plastic than this head unit is... Again though, read other reviews and you’ll notice they have the same thing to say about the less than desirable build quality of this unit.

After that trip We headed out a few months later on an 1800 mile trip... same story...

Then this past weekend I went out on our first trip of this year. The batteries have all been replaced in the sensors, and were all unscrewed and screwed back on to the valve stems... I thought this would create a fresh connection. As I took off down the road they all gave a tire reading that seemed to match what the tires should be considering they have all been sitting... but then 15 miles into the trip and all 4 tire sensors stopped reading and just showed lines when circulating through each tire! I stopped and unscrewed each one and screwed it back on, but no change...

At this point, I am done with this TPMS unit and would highly recommend anyone to look elsewhere for a TPMS unit. This is honestly the worst investment I have made for our camper, and I would argue that a TPMS is one of the most important purchases to make...

To recap:

1. constant failed connections, even with a repeater and on a short rig...
2. horrible, rude customer service, assuming you get an answer...
3. terrible build quality and design.

Having tire pressure and temperature will put your mind at ease. I do not have to worry about a tire on my trailer or truck going low unnoticed until it blows and does massive damage to my enclosed car trailer or truck for that matter. The temperature feature is also awesome. If a wheel bearing or brake is getting hot, you will know before it does catastrophic damage. I have had this system for 2 years now, and appreciate the peace of mind it has given me.
I bought this system in 2017. It has worked great for me. I the 5 years I have had it, twice I had trailer tires going low and the system has alerted me so the tire did not go down and blow. It very well has saved having major damage to my trailer because of early warning! Mine is the earlier design system and has been trouble free for me.
