Make sure you do a test patch first!! Gave my daughter a terrible allergic rash where we applied the sunscreen. We will stick to trubaby products.

We've tried so many sunblocks. My kids have sensitive skin and break out in sunburn like rashes with the chemical based sunscreens for older kids and adults. We've tried many brands of sunblock for kids, avoiding the cheap ones and ones that are made by companies that put too many chemicals in them. That being said, we have tried a couple of the more sensitive skin type kids brands. We often spend 8+ hours a day out on a boat. Anybody who boats knows you get the direct UV rays + the reflection of the sun off the water. Everyone burns who's not used to it. We couldn't seem to find anything that lasted even an hour, and after reapplying all day every day to all three kids, I figured I needed something better (no, we don't buy cheap sunblock). This stuff lasts. We try to reapply no longer than every 2 hours. My kids haven't burnt once since we started using this. We do use a stick for their face by another brand because they rub their eyes a lot in the water and with the stick I can see when it's rubbed off. I sometimes need to reapply the stick every couple of times they get out of the water. I wish blue lizard had a stick for that reason. Definitely worth the extra pennies.

I am so glad I've discovered this sunscreen! It's safe (according to the Environmental Working Group) and effective! It's white at first but rubs in easily and the white disappears quickly. It's also water resistant which is great. I use it for all 3 of my kids (ages 11, 7, and a toddler). I think it's easier to apply and more effective at blocking the sun than other mineral sunscreens I've tried, including Alba and Babyganics.

This is the best sunscreen ever for fair skin. Hands-down. I have fair skin and my son is redheaded and blue eyes. We are hyper sensitive to the sun and can burn at a moments notice. I am sure it works, but the consistency is very thick and it is very white. One would definitely have the "ghost look" after applying it. I like the smart bottle that turns blue upon exposing to UV light though. I now put the bottle (still has a lot in it) in front of my computer in my home office such that it reminds me to put on sun screen even at home.
