I am admittedly a fan of the author and have purchased many of her patterns on etsy. When I found out she was writing a book I didn't hesitate to pre-order it. It was a happy mail day when the book arrived a few weeks ago and my life has been too busy for me to make any of the patterns but I'm confident there are at least five patterns that will happen in the near future. If you read her blog or follow the things she makes on Instagram you can feel confident that you'll know what's in this book. I recommend to new sewists learning skills and experienced ones looking for fun quick projects!

I was excited to find this sewing book. Why? Because it wasn't filled with the typical colorful cotton prints sewing projects! I wanted a sewing book that focused on more on minimal and modern solid fabrics mixed with SOME prints. The projects are approachable, which if you're a beginner, the steps along with the photos included will help you. If you're more advanced, there are projects, like her wallet, to challenge you. Her projects are a great stepping stone for beginners to help them become a more experienced sewist. I'm a beginner- intermediate, so these projects are going to help me strength my skills and even make me a better sewist.

The quality is so good that you think they were store bought! The teepee project I modified by staining and sealing the wooden dowels and adding small rubber feet.

I really like this book and can't wait to start sewing from it. I am just trying to decide what pattern to start with. The only thing I don't like is that the instruction pictures are so small. I am a visual learner and am losing sight in one of my eyes, so it would have been better with bigger pictures. But I will definitely use this book. There was not one pattern in it that I did not like!

The book itself is beautiful and inspiring, and the patterns, with added tips and amendments are all clearly written, perfect for both novice or experienced sewists.
The variety of projects will mean that there will be something for everyone.
The fabric choices and whole aesthetic match my taste, however if you prefer different choices of fabric, it would not take a great stretch of imagination to add your personal style.
I highly recommend this book, and look forward to making many of the projects, many times.
