We get our moniker from Powell Crosley, a pretty radical guy from the 1920s who knew music was for the people and created a radio for everyone. In keeping with his tradition and entrepreneurial spirit, we decided the vinyl experience was also for everyone. Our first turntable was released in 1992, when CDs were still king. Naturally, everyone thought we were nuts.     I wanted a retro looking radio for my garage with my classic car that I could listen to while working on my car. The CD player works great, but I can get no radio stations at all. Neither AM or FM. I thought maybe it was the reception even thought the antenna was extended to the max. But when I tested two other radios that worked perfectly I knew it was the radio. If you're looking for an attractive retro looking radio that is going to sit on your counter for looks this is for you. But if you want one that works don't buy this one.

    I purchased this because it is the only affordable alarm clock that allows me to wake up to a cd. I have used it now for 1 month and I love it. If you are looking for great sound quality and so forth you might be disappointed (better buy a boombox or something like that) but for what I wanted it is perfect. Also-- it has Bluetooth capability and I have tried to purchase speakers for my laptop so I can listen to music on youtube; but all of them have broken or failed in some way. This is a perfect alternative because I can channel internet music to it when using the Bluetooth setting. the sound quality is better than the cheap speakers I previously had (which were actually around 30 bucks or so) and I don't have to worry about connecting it to the laptop with chords that usually fail when they no longer perfectly fit in the speaker outlet. ALso it looks really cute like a mini jute box with a cute florescent jute box light.

    I purchased this primarily to fit a Red/ Nostalgia decor, so my needs and expectations for the sound quality etc. were not high. At un-boxing, everything seems fine. The unit is 'plastic-y' but reasonably solid, decent fit/finish for the mid-range level of this product. The CD lid seems to rub an edge a little on open/close - latch/hinge a little 'janky', but again, for what it is - seems OK.

    ** I am concerned that after I got the time display set, messed with the radio a bit, went away to get a CD to test that, when I got back, after about 5 minutes from powering up, the display was blank. I pressed the mode change button, and a "display" button, nothing appeared (though the mode did change from radio to CD to Bluetooth while hitting the mode button). Turned power off/on, no help. I unplugged it for about 30 seconds, plugged back in and the display was working again. Hopefully, this is a fluke or very rare event, not a portent of upcoming failure. We'll see...

    Mid-marks for easy to use - the time setting procedure was not obvious, nor bluetooth - had to read the manual (heaven forbid :-) ) to figure that out, but to minimize the number of buttons and amount of text for esthetic reasons, that's understandable.

It has a CD player on top of the radio---all in all I would recommend this radio-looks nice-and fits on my bedside table with plenty of room to spare....

    I bought this for a relative who lives in an assisted living facility. Her vision is not very good, so I hoped it would be easy for her to use. I visited her recently and took a look at it. It's not what I'd hoped. The unit is smaller than you might think from looking at the photo. It's a plastic-y looking (and feeling) device. It sounds reasonably good for what it is. I tuned in a strong radio station, but within 20 minutes or so it began to drift off station (i.e. static). So there's apparently no quartz lock or other drift prevention. Portable radios this size come with more features and better sound for significantly less. Crosley appears to be capitalizing on the styling, IMO.
