Finally! I can paint my highly detailed 20x16 paint by numbers without having to bend over the table to paint the tiny details in the center of the painting.
I paint Dimensions/Paintworks paint by numbers and those that are familiar with them, they know just how highly detailed and exacting they are. The size of brushes required to paint them is typically 0 to 0/20. One needs to be right up on the canvas to see and paint the tiny details.
This easel allows me to raise up the canvas and get right up to it and paint the spaces perfectly. I'm a perfectionist so this has been a game changer for me.
I find I am able not only to paint perfectly but I am far more comfortable doing so.
The easel is sturdy, fully adjustable to any angle, and very well made. It would fit large canvases with ease.
I hesitated to get an easel as I read so many bad reviews. However,, after seriously looking around at all the different brands and types, I chose this one for its versatility and construction. I feel I have chosen the best of all the ones available on Amazon and other painting craft stores. I'm very pleased with my purchase. I've been using it for 3 months now and haven't found a thing wrong with it. This was a good buy and well worth the price I paid.

I’ve owned this easel for 6 years, and it’s still one of my favorites!It’s extremely well made. Other than the ink and paint I’ve gotten on it, it looks the same as when I unpacked it.I bought it because I needed flexibility when and where I create. (Plus, sometimes you just wanna lay on the couch and sketch while you watch TV.) I’m very pleased with this stand. I bought it to put my light board on. The light board is 25”L x 18”H and this stand is perfect! It’s extremely sturdy and very adjustable so I can set the board at any angle. I really like the brace at the top that holds the board in place and when tightened the board will not move. When I purchased the board I also bought the stand that was “suggested” to go with it and it was terrible. It was metal but very thin and cheaply made, it was bent when it was delivered so I returned it and got this one. I would definitely buy this one again.

I ordered this product to support art board that is 11” x 8.5”. This product is only 10 1/8” x 13.25” and does not work for my needs.
There is no assembly required. The product is sturdy enough and easy to fold shut but the included easel (palette) was stuck inside and jammed the drawer shut. I had to shake it upside down to free it.
I’ll probably keep it for use with smaller pieces in my studio but I’m disappointed that it is too small and a bit heavy for its intended purpose.

Most of the negative reviews I read said the material was really cheap, so I was a little weary, but decided to take the chance, glad I did. The material isn't that bad. It's decently sturdy and doesn't feel like it's going to break easily. The drawer didn't slide open the easiest because of the finish on the wood. The finish wasn't the best, but I was expecting that and bought a wood polish/conditioner in preparation. Now the drawer slides out no problem and it really helped smooth out any roughness the wood had. Even without it, I wasn't upset, at all, with the product I had received.
You can see the comparison in the pictures. I used the paint palette included to compare the before and after.
