Good and here’s what to expect
Testing the speed on iPhone 11 connected to a 5.0 GHz Wi-Fi network, I used to get an average of 29 Mbps on my old Motorola SB6121 with the Xfinity’s up to 100 Mbps service. This one however is a game changer. With the same Wi-Fi router (NETGEAR WNDR4500V2) I saw an instant increase in speed.Activating the modem may require you to call Xfinity and provide the modem info the ask you about. I did it through their activating website while the modem was connected to the Wi-Fi router. I wasn’t getting any internet at the time on any of my device so I used Cellular hotspot to connect my laptop to the internet and go to Xfinity’s activating site to activate the new modem.NOTE: you will need a device that supports 5.0GHz Wi-Fi to be able to get this kind of speed. Otherwise, you’ll end up with whatever your device is capable of getting. This review was written based on the service and devices mentioned. My desktop PC doesn’t support it and I’m planing to get a USB Wi-Fi thing that supports 5.0HGz because now I’m only getting like 27 Mbps on average.
