Handy in many applications.
Wind and fire are always a problem. You usually wind up improvising something. This windscreen is portable, compact and flexible, but not very stable. It is thin, light weight, but flimsy. The only mechanism to secure it is 2 "pins", one at either end, you push into the ground. If you do not have ground to anchor to, you will have to improvise. In the attached picture, I am using magnetic clips to hold the windscreen. It did work in this application, reducing temperature swings during wind gusts measurably. Overall, it is functional and usable, but still requires some improvising.

I liked the product and I tested it using my Kovea Cube stove and my tea pot on the tailgate table of my Jeep. The primary reason for this is, sometimes when wandering, the wind is crazy and robs me heat from the stove. I tried a number of items in the camp box to block the wind so just getting water to boil wouldn't burn off a whole canister of fuel. Finally broke down and bought a screen, this screen. However, when I unpacked it from the "envelope" that Amazon mailed it to me in, it was bent at the corners. See the attached photo. So, not horrible or unrepairable, but still, for such soft aluminum, not to surprising. What is surprising is they sent it in an envelope rather than a small box. 3 minutes with pliers and it was mostly fixed and I don't mind a few dings and scratches, it will get those with me in very short order, but in the future, I would suggest a box, or put a corner piece on it so they don't bend.
Either way, this fits perfectly, is a good height. I had seriously considered the 5.25" version, but this one is only 9" so I'm glad I got this one. Should work great when in windy conditions and sit in my camp box in the Jeep for awhile. Might even by another one for backpacking...just in case.
