About the Author

Temple Kinyon is the daughter of Idaho wheat farmers and spent her first thirty-three years living life in small-town America. After residing in Las Vegas for almost two decades, she's decided you can take the girl out of Idaho, but not the Idaho out of the girl. This little fact compels her to seek adventure away from Vegas's glitz, giving closeness to her rural roots when veering off the beaten path. When she's not exploring the unique offerings of Southern Nevada and the West, she spends time with her husband and ferociously funny bulldog. Her writing includes work about her family history, life experiences, and fiction she hopes readers of all ages will enjoy.

Julene Ewert has been creating art since she could hold a pencil. She is an artist and graphic designer living in the beautiful hills of the Palouse. Her inspiration comes from nature, boxes of old ephemera, and everyday wonderings. Her art is whimsical in spirit, and expresses an honest and playful view of the world-always with rich colors. Her art reflects her soul and a world of playfulness. Her grandma had an epic collection of buttons. More about her art: www.juleneewert.com

Temple Kinyon is an author and freelance writer living in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her dream of becoming a published author came to fruition when she jumped into a full-time freelance writing career in 2012. She became a contributing writer for BLVDS LV Magazine in 2014, where she also landed her first editorial assistant position. She published her first book, THE BUTTON BOXES, in 2019, and her fiction and non-fiction contributions have appeared in Home & Harvest Magazine and Idaho Grain Magazine.

As a proud University of Idaho Vandal, she is honored and humbled to be co-author with President C. Scott Green of her second book, UNIVERSITY PRESIDENT'S CRISIS HANDBOOK. Temple considers herself a nostalgia writer; her childhood experiences continue to offer an unlimited supply of anecdotes for her varied writing projects. Writing magazine articles and books are her passions, but she also works as a freelance copywriter and editor and occasional writing mentor to young creatives.

Temple firmly believes in persistence, pursuing dreams, full-circle moments, living an effervescent life, and using the good China for pizza dinner. She lives to work but only if there are “Workations” at the “shocean” involved. When she’s not writing, she loves to craft, and…big surprise…read.
