This drill is the best I've had since working with DeWALT drills for 15 years. It's very small, light, yet powerful enough for my needs (it's more powerful then 9V DeWALT, but not quiet as powerful as 12V).Two Bosh drills with 2 spare batteries and the charger fits perfectly into plastic case for 9V DeWALT drill, with plenty room for miscellaneous drill bits and such.So far the battery life is exceptional. The jobs where I used to use 3 12V batteries on DeWALT drills (they are not originals) I do it now with one battery and LED indicator still shows 1/3 charge left. There is only one thing I don't like is the chuck - it's tapered, has smooth ridges, which makes it somewhat slippery and the locking clicks are too far apart, basically it just impossible make it grip enough on small drill bits, so they often spin inside.

I had been using an older DeWalt drill, which was fine. But during a larger bathroom remodel project, its battery started to fail, and given the price of a new battery, I thought an entirely new drill was smarter.

This one came, and about once second after lifting it out of the box, I realized I had been using an inferior drill (for my needs), and that this one was going to be much more enjoyable to use.

First of all, its compact size is GREAT. My old drill, in hindsight, was pretty heavy and unwieldy. This just feels like a tool designed for the kind of light projects I do, and is much easier to wield, especially for long periods of time. I can almost throw it in my pocket as I'm working, it's that compact and light. That would have been laughable with my old drill.

Yet, power seems about equal compared to my old drill. I mixed up some thinset and some grout using a mixer attachment and it powered right through it; never hesitated for second. The battery also seems to last longer than expected, and it charges relatively fast, IMHO.

The little flashlight (which my old drill didn't have) along with the battery gauge, are very handy features. The bag it comes in is nice enough, and I like that it comes with two batteries.

The only picky downside is that the bit holder that you can attach to the back of the drill kind of seems like an afterthought. Personally, I'm not frequently switching between different DRIVING bits; I'm more likely to be switching between a driving bit and a drilling bit. So spots for multiple driving bits are kind of unneeded (and it looks kind of wonky.) That's just me, though.

Overall, this seems like a great drill for the average homeowner or the light DIYer so far. Hopefully its long-term durability is another positive...!

I picked up this set when it was on sale and only slightly more than the non-brushless PS31. The first set I ordered was packaged incorrectly by the manufacturer (I got the PS31 instead of the PS32 even though the packaging was PS32). Amazon took care of me there. I don't know if anyone else has noticed it, but with the PS31 (that I sent back) it was sooooo hard to pop the battery out. I ended up bruising my hands trying to pop them out. This almost made me consider a full refund, but fortunately the PS32 did not have this problem. I think it was an individual issue with the specific PS31 I received (and likely would have been grounds for an exchange). Just FYI.

This PS32 is such a great drill. It's powerful, has high torque, feels very light and balanced, and is overall a work horse around the house. But the best part has to be the battery. I can't believe how long it runs for, and how long it lasts. I put together two pieces of Ikea furniture (2-3 hours of use) using the battery charge that came with the drill from the manufacturer. Just for fun I switched to the second battery (which I fully charged in the meantime -- took < 30 minutes). I put together my third piece of furniture (entertainment stand -- took all night). THIS WAS 4 WEEKS AGO. I've since used the drill many, many times for hanging pictures, fixing some hardwood boards, and other light use around the house. The battery is still at 3/3 bars. It's gotten to the point where I just reach for the drill and know it'll be ready to go. And the battery is like the size of a

All things considered, given the weight and size of the thing, and the torque output, this is a great little drill. 100% no regrets.

This is the single best tool I have owned. I am writing this after over 4 years of use for every drill need from lag bolts to gentle furniture assembly to car repair. I knew before this purchase that many people had praised this drill for its size strength and longevity. I rarely have to charge the batteries but if I do they charge very quickly. Over all, I love this tool and wanted to take the time to write this after 4 years of use. I now check with Bosch first when I need to make any new power tool purchase, simply because of the amazing quality of this one.

I've always been in search of "more power" from my cordless tools. I kept buying higher and higher voltage tools with bigger and bigger batteries. The tools kept getting heavier and heavier because of this. Up until now, I've for the most part had lower end power tools. The Ryobi and Craftsman type. They work and are reliable enough for the light work I typically do, especially craftsman which I'm still a fan of their tools. The batteries were always the issue for me. I decided to get a higher end tool and from what I'd read brushless was the way to go. I wanted something small, portable, powerful with a good battery. My research led me to this drill. This weekend I had the opportunity to give it a try on a bathroom remodel. We also had an 18 volt Dewalt. This little guy smoked the Dewalt in every respect. Power, weight, battery life et al. This thing in drill mode was putting screws half way through 2x4s and I think it could have gone further. We put a 6 inch hole saw bit on it to drill through cement board and it had absolutely no issue at all. Putting screws through two pieces of cement board into 2x4 was a breeze for this thing as well. My favorite thing of all is that I got through the whole bathroom with only two of three bars used on the battery life. The fact that these are lithium ion is nice because you don't have a gradual decrease in power as the battery level gets lower. So I've decided some things this weekend regarding cordless power tools; Bigger battery isn't better, brushless is the way to go, lithium ion batteries are a must and Bosch tools are my favorite tools (I also love my Bosch dishwasher). More Bosch tools will be added to my arsenal!

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely excellent product!
Reviewed in Canada on January 19, 2015
This is an excellent product!

I am already the proud owner of the original Bosch PS21 (no longer available on Amazon, only from Bosch directly) and I thought it was perfect. This product, the Bosch PS32-02, actually takes an already amazing tool, and adds a keyless chuck, a far better torque system, and it also improves the light which now STAYS ON when you release the trigger. Which alone is proof that the product engineers at Bosch, actually use the tools they design.

PROS:
- excellent quality
- very powerful for its size, and even more powerful than drills twice the size in some cases!
- the keyless chuck barely takes up any room, and actually improves the balance of the original tool design!
- the brush-less motor, is incredibly responsive and powerful. I did not think they could improve on the power of the original PS21, but I was wrong... and happily admit it. Publicly.
- the newer version batteries are better also.

CONS:
- It does not do the work itself.... Seriously, I have nothing to put here, I have not found any cons at all.

I actually bought this as a gift for someone else, and now, I want one REALLY badly! But, my original PS21 still works perfectly! What to do? I bought the Hitachi 725405 3/8-Inch Keyless Conversion Chuck http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B001717COS to try and make older model more like this newer one, but it still does not have the new light innovation, or the better batteries; it STILL WORKS PERFECTLY after many years. I am sorely temped to buy the newer model for myself after examining it and trying it out. Now they say the newer design lasts even longer, and is twice as reliable.... wow, I have not had a single problem with the older one ... how can they improve that!

The drill is very well made and has a surprising amount of torque for such a small unit. The reviews I read on the quality of this unit prior to purchasing it were all spot on. I highly recommend this product.
