Review for active sport shoe / sneaker use
Purchased the 3.7oz clear tube for use on a year old pair of Nike Zoom Tour 9.5 tennis shoes. I've logged appx.100 hrs of use with these Nikes which are known to have soft soles, but are the comfiest sneakers ever, hence the desire to extend use a bit (not cheap either). Tried to rough up the surface a bit with a metal file - don't think it helped much. Also created a dam using blue tape. Found that it creates an odd edge though and had to trim excess with a sharp pair of scissors. Next time will try without tape as the material is quite viscous and will allow me to feather out all edges. Its a bit tricky to work with as a tail of goo extends out when you want to stop the application - much like a glue gun. It semi drys quickly though, so the excess can be pulled off easily. The pictures show the application. The final pic is after a 2 hour tennis session. You can see that one side peeled completely off in the toe - it stayed on the other shoe. The heel areas stayed on. You can see how much wear occurs - I think the remaining will last only through the next session. Overall, not a very good longer term solution for active use. Ok for walking. High maintenance if I need to apply after every 1 or 2 sessions.***UPDATE***Definitely only a short term solution for hardcourt tennis shoes with its constant start and stops. I've made a few discoveries over the last few weeks. 1) You can be generous with the application. Longer lasting if you can get 1/8"-1/4" buildup. 2) Ice definitely helps application. Goo is very sticky so using an ice cube allows you to smooth out evenly and get a nice uniform even sheen. Use long continuous strokes lengthwise, then short strokes from the center out to taper edges. 3) Feather edges by using the ice cube from center out. Makes it harder for goo to peel off and creates surface that will wear more gradually. 4) No need for masking tape dam. The goo is viscous enough to stay generally where you put it. Edges are much better if you shape and feather the edges with an ice cube naturally (no tape dam). Last 5 pics show results of this technique.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great on rain boots!
Reviewed in the United States on June 27, 2023
I used this to repair my rain boots and it sealed really well. I lined up the seams in the back heal wear I had a split. I added a generous amount of the product, smoothing it over the area. I did this outside as I was worried about fumes and smells. I left the boot to dry overnight and in the morning the seal had formed perfectly. Since then I’ve used the rain boots multiple times, and they are completely waterproof. I’m so happy to extend the life of these boots!
