This is really delicious water when I drink it from this pitcher. My bf has the brita pitcher but i'm not sure how old it is and when was the last time he changed out the filter but he does drink from that one. I thought I would give this one a try and I really do love the way the water tastes. It's refreshing and I just know the taste is like fresh clean water. I'll be buy a filter after the one in my pitcher times out :)

Clean drinking water is highly underrated.....get it? The digital monitoring device on this that lets you know when to change the filter was the same one used by the challenger space shuttle to measure how bumpy the ride was going to be. Needless to say it got fired and now the only work it can find is in this LeDumb thing. The design of the plastic lets unfiltered water in the storage compartment like our boarders let in unfiltered criminals into our voting system. #imwithher.

This water filter pitcher works well, the only problem I have with it is that there is a pour through hole on top that is supposed to open automatically as water flows through it and then closes automatically when the water stops, sounds good in theory, but mine does not work, the water flow will not open it, and it does not snap back in place when there is no water striking it.

I really wanted to like this brand. But after setting everything up exactly as instructed, and fully running through the filter twice before consuming the third batch, Ive come to find out this water tastes horrid. I truly don't understand all the reviews saying it tasted good. I want to. I seriously do. It completely strips water of any taste besides awful. I'm not sure how to describe it but possibly stale? My old roommate had a Brita filter before and that water tasted okay, not great, not awful (we lived in a different part of town than I do now, same city. Not sure if that makes a difference in water quality). I'm seriously sad that I don't like this brand. The pitcher is beautiful, the counter is so convenient, everything seems really well made. But I just don't like the taste of the water it filters which is the whole point of buying one.

I've lived most of my life drinking tap water. I've always lived in small towns, and love the taste of the water. When I visit family in the city, I can't stand their tap water - it always tastes like chlorine.
In our previous house, we had mountain water from a well. We also had a whole-house water filter, and it was always great. Then we moved to another mountain town with city water. It wasn't quite as good. But what made us buy a filter was when the city worked on the water pipes in the area (due to expansion) and we ended up with dirty water. They said it was potable and would only look dirty for a few days. A few weeks of dirty water later, we started shopping around. By the time we found this and had it delivered, the water was clean-looking again, but we had made up our minds to switch to filtered.
If you aren't used to filtered water, it does have a metallic taste to it. After a few days, we got used to it. After a few weeks, I accidentally got a drink of some tap water, and spit it right out. It tasted and smelled nasty. I'll never go back to tap water again!

We bought this particular unit because I wanted a pitcher type. Everyone I know that has one with the spout at the bottom complains of how messy they are - they leak all over the fridge. But as it turns out, this is messy, too. To fill it, you have to hold down the spring-loaded "trap door" at the top, because the spring is too strong to allow a slow water flow into it. Yet it's too weak to keep water in the top (the "pre-filtered reservoir") from flowing out when you tip it to fill a cup. If you aren't careful while filling it, you'll end up with a big mess.
You also have to wait until the water drains/filters down to the bottom reservoir, which can take several minutes - so plan your water drinking accordingly. Fill this up 10 minutes or so before a meal. And the bottom of the filter needs to be wet all the time, so we're filling this thing up many times a day. Luckily, our kitchen sink's nozzle is detachable, so it makes filling it much easier.
It hasn't spent any time in the fridge due to the constant need to fill it. But that's not a big deal. The design and handle make it easy for even our young children to pour their water, so that's a huge plus. It also has (had) a nice rubber ring around the bottom to keep it from sliding around the counter, but that came off already (after 3 weeks of use). Now it's super slippery, and we'll look to glue the ring back on. Not a big deal, either.
The filter is supposed to last 60 days, but after 3 weeks it's starting to get the tap water smell to it, so the filter needs replaced already. But we are a family of 6 and we drink lots of water.

I keep waiting for the lid to fall off, because when snapped on it doesn't give you that satisfying "click," but so far it hasn't budged. All things considered, once we got used to the little quirks, we are really liking it. This review may sound mostly negative, but i just want to let people know of the little issues. We are glad we bought it and hope to have it for several years!

Light and easy to pick up. Water tasted clean and better than the tap. Instructions were simple to understand and follow. There's a timer for the filter but I am not sure how to tell if it's working. There's a flap on top of the pitcher that hangs open. I don't know how to close it all the way. I don't know the purpose of it because pouring water in there, the flap gets in the way.

The pitcher looks exactly as pictured, however the design is flawed. The filter doesn't fit perfectly into the pitcher so a steady stream of tap water gets into the "clean" water. It doesn't taste as good as Brita, and I'm sure it's because the tap water just gets into the pitcher. The LED function doesn't even work.
