They don't seem to be the best quality as our "y" came apart after one play session. The colored top part separated from the magnet part. Not a huge deal. A little superglue fixed it. We didn't abuse them or anything. My daughter just likes to take them off the magnet board and move them around. We talk about the letters and group the ones that are the same. She absolutely loves them.
The little storage box they come in is also handy. I stained it to match her playroom furniture and it's great to keep the magnets together when I can't closely supervise her playing with them.

I am totally satisfied with the quality of the product. My child is a little rough with things and so far, has not yet managed to harm the letters in any way. They have all now survived multiple drops.
There are only 56 letters in this set, so I would recommend purchasing two sets, making it possible to spell several words at once, rather than only one or two (especially if you intend to use this product as a method of communication with other members of the household.).
The letters are bright and colorful. Each has it's own color and pattern. They are also thick, and easy for small fingers to grasp and remove from a magnetic surface. The magnets are strong enough to be pushed about on the fridge without falling off, but weak enough a child can pull them off the surface without much effort.
The letters are also nicely sized, about the size of a small child's palm.
I am overall satisfied and will buy from this company again.

The "body" of the letter is made out of wood, and the colourful print is a piece of laminated cardboard pressed onto the wood. These letters are set in a rounded font, and many of the letters have messy cuts where a tight curve happens (at least on my set). That's just an aesthetic thing, but I wasn't expecting such obvious imperfections. The wood part on one of the "O"s wasn't smoothed out and is rough to the touch. I thought about returning the set because I don't want my kid to cut herself, but in the end I just filed it down myself.
Maybe my expectations were too high so I'm not impressed with this at all. The worst part is that my 1.5 yr old seemed to like the dollar store plastic set that we were playing with at the library so much more than this one! hahaha ;p
