I originally bought these mats to use as replacement cutting mats for my Silhouette Cameo but I have found several other uses for them. They are sturdy and hold up to all my crazy experiments. I still plan on using one of them for my cutting machine because I read somewhere that this kind of mat would work great for it. So far I think it will.

I have nice sharp blades... I sliced veggies, and got all these tiny little plastic "hairs" that the cutting mat gave off as I sliced it up along with my veggies. Had to toss them. These mats are fine if you want to use them to knead dough, or any other purpose other than for what they are made for... chopping and slicing with knives or other sharp objects. For the price it was worth testing them out.

Overall, I love these chopping mats, which is why, after almost a decade of using my last batch of them, I ordered some more. These arrived, unfortunately, damaged. I loved the low price, and wanted the larger dimensions (and these were bigger than most being offered), so was glad to find this brand for sale. It was the first to arrive (I ordered another set, from another manufacturer, just in case. The package and mats inside already had a one-inch cut (through both mats) on one side, though the outer packaging did not, leading me to believe this hadn't been damaged in shipping. This in itself was a bummer, but not worth (for the price I paid) sending them back. However, after an initial washing, I chopped basil and sliced tomatoes and the knife cut right through the mat, zzing! Having used similar product for years, I know that these should stand up to thousands of cuts before giving way like that. By the end of the first day there were three or four cuts that went all the way through the mat. So -- I don't use this for a cutting board anymore. But, as the title of product says, even an extra-thin flexible "chopping mat" like this is good for other things. Currently I use this to cover my countertop when letting bread dough rise, or for making sandwiches, or on the kitchen table during arts and crafts. So it's not a total loss.. The other set of mats arrived two days later (5 multicolored ones, smaller) and I noted that, while still flexible, they're much thicker. Working great. Only pulled one from the package, but I've used it for weeks now and no problems whatsoever.

Large frosted plastic chopping mats that curl up to dump waste easily. Highly recommended. Not sure if it will survive really sharp knives without scratching because I have had others like this and they need to be replaced over time for sanitation reasons. But that is how this style is. This is a great price and it shipped fast.
