Star Trek: Kirk Fu Manual: A Guide to Starfleet's Most Feared Martial Art Hardcover – March 3, 2020
Purchase options and add-ons
As captain of the legendary U.S.S. Enterprise, James T. Kirk engaged in his share of fisticuffs, besting opponents with a slick combination of moves and guile that remains unmatched. Is there anyone you’d rather have watching your back as you take on Klingons, alien gladiators, genetically engineered supermen, and even the occasional giant walking reptile?
Kirk Fu is a series of unarmed combat techniques developed by one of Starfleet’s most celebrated starship captains over several years of encounters with alien species on any number of strange new worlds. A blend of various fighting styles, Kirk Fu incorporates elements of several Earth-based martial arts forms as well as cruder methods employed in bars and back alleys on planets throughout the galaxy. It is as unorthodox in practice as it is unbelievable to behold. Including excerpts from Kirk’s own notes and personal logs, the Star Trek: Kirk Fu Manual is the perfect training guide for surviving the depths of space. With proper training and practice, every Starfleet cadet can become one with Kirk Fu.

About the authors
If you’re reading this, then chances are you’ve read one of my books or are considering doing so. Or, maybe you just clicked on a link by mistake while on your way to something more interesting.
Doesn’t matter. Welcome!
So…about me. Yeah…well, you see, it’s like this: Until recently, I was a software developer and analyst, having become a slave to Corporate America after spending eleven years in the U.S. Marine Corps. Why did I join the military? Pretty simple, really. I’d gotten tired of people telling me what to do all the time, and was looking for a change.
Whoops.
In truth, I joined for a handful of different reasons, from carrying on a family tradition to wanting a challenge unlike anything else I’d faced to that point to simpler stuff like just wanting to see the world. I’m proud of my time spent in uniform. I gave Uncle Sam eleven years, and he gave me a long list of skills and experiences that have continued to serve me to this day. I think I got the better end of that deal by a fairly wide margin.
In September 2014, I said goodbye to my day job and embarked on a bold new journey as a full-time writer.
Though I was born and raised in Tampa, Florida, fate and circumstances have seen to it that my family and I now call Kansas City home.
Christian Cornia has created artwork and characters for publishers, advertising, video games and role-playing games and he worked as a colorist for the French market and as an inker for Marvel.
He works with the international agency of illustrators Advocate Art and he is the Character designer Teacher of the Animation course of the Scuola Internazionale di Comics of Reggio Emilia.
In the 2017 he returned to comics and he and Giorgio Salati created the graphic novel " Brina" for the italian publisher Tunué .
Actually he's working on different projects and with many client, while he's preparing new comics and is trying to enter into the animation kingdom as character designer.
