Can these doors be customized or cut?
We donn't provide customized size service, and do not recommend cutting the door to keep normal use.
And the sizes shown above are all the sizes we provide at present.
What size wide door should I choose for my opening
If your doorway has trim it would look better with a wider door. We recommend that you leave 1-2 inches wide on each side.
Do I need a header board for this door? Is header board included?
1.If the studs don't line up with the pre-drilled holes in the rail, you need a headboard.
2.If there's no trim or baseboard on the wall, you don't need to install the headboard. Otherwise, you need to install it.
3.The header board is NOT INCLUDED.

First off, the instructions were incredibly straightforward and easy to follow. While the manual estimated a 30-minute setup time, I found it took closer to 90 minutes to complete the installation meticulously. For those planning to add a personal touch by staining or painting the door, factor in additional time for that process (obviously.)
Taking a bit of a risk, I installed this door in my bedroom, where the ceiling height is only 7’6”, leaving about 3 inches above the railing - notably less than the recommended 6 inches. Despite this challenge, with careful measurements and diligent installation, I successfully set up the door without any issues. So, for anyone with similar ceiling constraints, don't let that deter you; it's definitely doable!
As evident in the photos, I painted the door to blend seamlessly with my room's decor. Initially, this project was an experiment to test the door's fit in my space. However, given the outcome and ease of installation, I'm now planning to get more of these doors for other rooms in my house I feel these would work well.
Overall, I couldn't be happier with this purchase. The door not only adds a unique aesthetic to my home but also stands as a testament to the blend of user-friendly design and elegant functionality. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enhance their space with a touch of rustic charm!

Did I mention follow the instructions? The door slats get installed in a certain order and in a certain direction. Yes, they will all fit regardless of what order, but they build these doors by the thousands. They have it down to a science Frankenstein!
Assembling - make sure you have your tongue and groove boards together and in the right order when you put on the cross braces. You have to put the braces on. They are there for a reason. No, the braces are not meant to go right corner to corner. They WILL sit off the edges about 1/8 of an inch to allow for expansion. When you put it together properly the entire panel will self adjust in the frame as it’s meant to.
Now for the educational part for all the negative reviews you see. First and foremost...THIS IS A REAL WOOD PRODUCT. REAL wood expands and contracts with temperature and humidity. As such, the wood in this door is going to move; it’s supposed to. It’s a barn door replica. Barn doors are meant to be outside. Doors meant to be outside are built to change with the weather. Get the picture? So, if you paint it and you paint it a light color...if the wood moves because of the temp, you are going to see the crack. That’s why they put in the cross bracing. It holds the panels together. That’s for you decorating engineers who want to change the door design and then Write negative reviews because “cracks are showing, the doors is twisting, this is supposed to be a show piece and now I just can’t have it in my house!” Again, follow the directions, the people who make these doors have a little background. Oh...DO NOT TRY AND GLUE THE DOOR PANELS TOGETHER! Did I mention that they are supposed to move?
Enjoy your new door. My wife and I love ours.

Pros:
The door after assembly looks great.
It feels sturdy and I would imagine it will last for a long time.
Glides easily on the rail and doesn't wobble around.
Cons:
Assembly instruction sare fine, but the quality lacks a bit.
The slats in both upper and lower sections have wiggle room and if you don't line them up right before putting the angle piece on you will have gaps.
The screws on the angle pieces are gold. I would think silver or black would blend better with a gray door.
Scrwing in the long side pieces to the 3 horizontal pieces is not easy and feels like it's going to break/splinter. I had to get a longer bit to fit all the way down the slot. Also filling these holes with the mandrils afterwards is also not a nice process as they are difficult to insert (need hammer) and must make sure not to scuff your new door.
Measurements, I found the measurements to be slightly off and missing one key measurement (the distance between the wall and the door so it doesn't hit the moulding).
Notes:
I ended up installing a header board as the door would hit the molding without it.
Measure everything and verify level, a little off and this door will move on its own.
I'm using this for a bathroom, so I need it to lock and it doesn't come with any sort of latch.
Overall it is a beautiful door for an unbeatable price and I would buy another one if needed.
