This product is wonderful! I purchased this to have for our trips to the pool and my family beach vacation. I’ve used it several times now and adore it.The pattern is pretty and it’s not heavy to carry at all. When we sit on it after getting out of the water, the water sits there and rolls off, it doesn’t absorb (hence the waterproof).Folding is easy but sometimes doesn’t line up with the Velcro so I have to redo it but that wouldn’t make me not use it!I can’t wait to take it to the beach and see how it does in the sand. I am a bit worried about the sand sticking into the Velcro though.

Bought this blanket for a two day music festival, so we were prepared in case the grass was damp as we watched the performances. I highly recommend this product to anyone who frequently picnics, or even camps. It very handy to fold back up, and have the strap to carry around. It is nice and thick, although any rocks or twigs will obviously still be felt through the material. The pattern on the leaves style was bright and beautiful. Everyone kept saying they used our blanket as a landmark to figure out how to return to their families/groups. We easily fit three adults on this blanket with enough room to breath during 90 degree weather. Only downfall is that it is NOT machine washable. You have to just wipe it down and let it dry. For us, we didn't quite have the space to do so, so I am hoping its not too mildewy when we reopen. Our friend spilled mustard on it, and was able to wash most of it out with a bottle of water and napkins during the concert, so quick spot treatments will keep your blanket nice and new for a long time.

The mat itself is perfect and exactly what I wanted in terms of size, sturdiness, and design. I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 because of the challenges I had folding the mat and difficulties with the Velcro closure. Let me explain. I bought this as a gift, and wanted to spread it out inside first to make sure I liked it before gifting. I spread it out on my carpet and decided the recipient would love it. Then, I tried to refold it. It took several attempts before I realized I needed help if I was going to make it look like it did when it arrived. Watching the videos on Amazon was a big help, but even then it took two more tries before the folds looked neat and the Velcro closure lined up correctly. Also, all of these practice rounds on my carpet resulted in fuzzies stuck in the Velcro which I then had to surgically remove before gifting. Finally, the Velcro caught on the fabric of my clothing and created a snag. In summary, I would prefer it if this mat came with a nylon strap or separate sack instead of the built in Velcro. Folding would be easier, the Velcro wouldn’t catch on things, and the flap wouldn’t hang off the end when spread out. Otherwise, the mat is fantastic and I would recommend it to others.

Water doesn't get through it, sand doesn't collect in it, it wipes clean, extremely durable material, folds into a small space, and it looks beautiful. The upper surface (the one you will sit on) is not cloth but is still pleasant to sit on. It is textured so it is not slippery like some of the others. Either the material is thick or there is some padding but whatever it is the blanket is comfortable to sit on in all sorts of terrain. My only wish would be that it had sand pockets but thankfully it is thick so it does not blow away easily.

I bought this to replace a similar blanket I had for years until I left it at a park last summer. This one is ok, but my old one was far superior and I now wish I had just purchased that one again!

Because of the canvas texture, the "wipeability" of this mat is poor. Even after one use, the dirt/food has been ground into the surface and a wet cloth does nothing to help. The other main design flaw is that you have to flip it over (nice side down on the dirt) to fold it up. Not sure what they were thinking with that one.

Still, it does keep us dry, so I guess that's something. I'll use it until the grime is more than I can bear, and then will purchase the JJ Cole version again.
