I have an adorable little cat, rescued as an abandoned runt kitten. She was skinny, a little fearful, and always picky about food.
She's 4 years old now, not fearful, and well fed. She'd been eating Solid Gold Indoor Cat food, ONLY. She will not eat wet food. It's a challenge to find a dry she likes, that's good for her.
She's very healthy, gorgeous thick silky hair, glowing healthy eyes, and a spicy, bratty, attitude, that never ceases to amuse. But this last year my skinny little runt has gotten FAT! CHONKY! Her new nickname is Porkchop! I know it's common for a spayed female cat to put on some weight, but I'd rather keep it down to normal levels. I don't give her a lot of treats, she plays and runs like a psycho, and I don't over-feed.
Obviously she needed a new, lower calorie, healthy, dry, cat food.
Solid Gold comes to the rescue again! This Fit As A Fiddle weight control formula has great ingredients, and production values, and SHE LOVES IT! I couldn't be happier. She couldn't be happier. I haven't seen any weight loss yet, but it's only been about 3 weeks. As long as she's healthy, and doesn't gain any more, I trust that she'll lose a little weight, and not get diabetes or some other awful disease from fatness.
I recommend trying this food for any plump kitty, and I recommend Solid Gold Company products in general.

I’m glad I tried this food!
I’ve changed cat food quite a bit because it always seemed like my cat threw up too much. I feel it necessary to follow that comment with this information - I have learned that part of the problem can be that they will stuff themselves in one sitting, so I feed her at least 3 times a day, no less, to keep her from overeating. Also, if they drink water around the same time, this will also make dry food expand in their stomach and cause them to throw it up. However, no matter how strict I was with how much food she eats during one day, it never seemed she ever lost weight. One of the things I realized after starting Solid Gold Weight Control was how much more energy she had, almost right after eating she would want to play...instead of ending up in a food coma. My cat, Ivy, is 7 years old this year, but I feel like she’s gotten more playful after putting her on this food. Because of her increased activity level, I’ve been able to get her to play more often. I think between the food and the playtime, this has caused her to drop some weight. I haven’t actually weighed her, but I can tell she is less obese by the way she looks. My mom came over one day and thought she looked thinner as well. I also feel there was a significant drop in how often she throws up, I might still deal with once every couple months, but I feel it’s usually when she eats meals too close together. I try to keep a routine on when she eats.I definitely recommend you give it a try! This is the happiest I’ve been with a new food brand, especially with the noticeable changes. Not every cat will react the same way I guess, it’s just based on their needs. I hope you get the same results I did! Don’t forget to play with them if they are inside only, this is always necessary to aid in weight loss (just like humans)!
