I've assembled shelves like this before. And they hold a lot of heavy stuff. It's not really too hard to put together. But, yes, it can be a bit wobbly at first, depending on how you start. Yes, be careful or you can slice a finger. It's sheet metal...
My advice, put the bottom and top together first. Set the base against a wall. Assemble the long corner pieces and connect each to the base, then attach the top. Leaning them against a wall makes it easy to do by yourself.
The shelves are better than average press board and simple to slip into the frame.
Like most projects, I recommend that you don't tighten everything completely until you're done, and don't install the little black caps on the top until you install the top shelf board. That makes it easier to slip the top board into the frame.
Also, watch out that when you install "tab A" into "slot B" that the tab is actually in the slot. If it's not and you whack it with your rubber mallet, if you don't manage to snap the tab off, you'll have to pry the pieces apart to fix it and insure frame stability. Overall, I like the product.

Finally able to put this rack together after receiving it. Fairly easy to put together, stupid me thought there were extra pieces so I ended up with 4 shelves instead of 5. Had to take out a few pieces to realign it accordingly to accommodate the 5 shelves. Now time to organize my garage a bit. Super excited honestly... my son's toys and clothes are everywhere in my garage.

I found an issue which I think is an unsafe flaw; the connectors used to join two short bars to form a ling bars are thin, weak, and unsturdy; if you don't pay attention and lift the entire shelving by holding on the vertical bars above the joints, then the bottom can fall and get separated from the top; the tabs of the connectors are thin and can break; I feel it is not safe with how the four long vertical bars are connected with these connectors; that is the only issue I found and it is a big issue;
