So some helpful tips:
It's not the easiest case to work with, and by that I mean it sacrifices easy clips and buttons for regular screws for the sake of size and silence, clips and snap on stuff tends to increase vibration rather than something screwed in tight on top of a rubber grommet or strip. This also allows the entire hard drive cage to be turned 90 degrees and still stay out of the way for even the biggest components.
On that note: Drive trays have a ton of mounting points and let you mount two hard drives on a single tray but you have to mount the bottom one first, but I don't think this works for SSDs, it works for two HDDs and a SSD/HDD combo, but haven't tried for two SSDs since the bottom side doesn't have any sort of rubber or vibrating reduction on it, only the top part, but if you have that many HDDs you might be doing something wrong.
The Power Supply: The power supply sits inside a large shroud (see the NZXT logo at the bottom through the window). This shroud does not appear to be easily removed, if it's removable at all, rather the PSU hooks to a bracket and then slides into the shroud from the back end. This is a small problem as, unless I missed a trick on the case, it's pretty difficult to hook the PSU cables to the PSU. I would rate this as a small inconvenience. There is a more than large enough gap on the back side of the case on the motherboard side, but I did have some difficulties. I mention this because I recommend laying out your PSU cables through the gaps, attaching the PSU to the bracket, then plugging in all your cables, and then mounting the PSU, this will save you time and effort in the end.
The Video Card: The GTX 1080 fits in this bad boy, but barely. I don't know many video cards larger than the 1080, but know this: It takes a little bit of angling and careful sliding, but it goes in easy enough, honestly.
Cable Routing: This is a breeze, comes with everything you need and, honestly, I have never had such a clean looking build in my life.
Motherboard mounting: Also a piece of cake, for some reason this was easier in this case than any other case I've ever worked with, not sure if it's the motherboard or the case.
Hooking up a 240mm CPU cooler: Alright so the assembly instructions on the case recommend the hoses to be near the exhaust fan. That's all well and good, but if you have the h100i v2 you might not be able to, I honestly didn't even try after seeing they might sit up against the fan. The H100i v2 has very flexible hoses so it might be possible, just didn't care to try due to having hoses hitting fans before, so if you have a cooler with stiff hoses, mount it the other way, keep it away from the fan, that's a no-brainer, it works very well sitting on the other side towards the drive cage and doesn't detract from the aesthetics of the interiors.
Mounting brackets for CPUs: So if you have an x99 system, this isn't a concern, but for other systems the hole seems more than accommodating enough for large brackets on the back given my PC builder experience.
Actual review: this is a pretty awesome case, it's heavier than most, but it also features a lot of thick foam for vibrating and sound dampening, my system stays cool and quiet. Lots of expansion room, fits all my components. NZXT has always had some top-notch case aesthetics even going back to my very first gaming build. I've had corsair, cooler master, and NZXT cases, this one is by far my favorite. It's not the easiest case I've worked with, but it was for a good reason.
It is a fairly quiet case, honestly, I barely hear it most of the time, especially compared to my obnoxious old build, but it isn't silent. I don't know if that's possible. I can still hear the dull hum of the fans, and one particularly noisy hard disk drive (obviously if you're going for silent get SSDs). The exhaust fan is probably the most audible fan but that's because it's also the most exposed fan and in my set up is literally pointing right at me (don't ask).
The feet keep the computer pretty high off the ground, high enough to where I actually think you can set it on carpeting and have more than enough of a gap for the PSU's down-facing intake fan to perform with little to no problems.
I completed this entire build with a single cross head screw driver.
Hope you enjoyed this review, happy to answer any questions.
I picked the H440 over the S340 simply because I needed the extra space for a Noctua NH-D15 cooler. I liked the S340 better because it was smaller, but oh well. In hindsight, I should have paid extra for an AIO water cooler and gone with an S340. The cases are clearly designed for water cooling, and they look better without a massive Noctua NH-D15 sitting in the middle of the window. I love Noctua, but it ain't pretty looking (6-core CPU is 55C under full load though...).
So how about the case itself? Love the USB/Audio ports at the top; great placement and they flow seamlessly with the minimalist design. The toggle-able LED lighting in the back so you can see while plugging things in? Amazing. The light-up NZXT logo is also toggle-able; nice.
Plenty of room for everything; CPU cooler, space for water cooling, tons and tons of drive space, long PSU space, long GPU space. The only place lacking room? The cable routing behind the mobo. Don't get me wrong, they clearly put thought into the routing space back there, with lots of well placed zip tie hooks and such. But the space is small. I have to smoosh the side panel on because the 24-pin ATX power cable is too thick to "properly" fit back there. Bummer. All that said, I'm not sure what they can do about it. The case is already wider than I'd prefer, and the width is needed MOBO-side to fit massive CPU coolers. So, again, I really should have gone with the S340 and water cooling.
Onto the bad. The screws in the case are awful. Screws for the side panels, PCI slots, PSU bracket. Just awful. They're really stiff and hard to get in and out. They are supposed to be captive screws, it seems, but the way they achieve captivity makes it difficult to align them while screwing them in. And because of the stiffness, it's hard to know when the screw is threading out of the case, or threading out of the captivity. They are knurled for fingers, but again because of the stiffness it's impossible to use anything except a screw driver. I know the screws aren't a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but I'm contrasting this with my old Rosewill case. I could get into and out of that case without any tools, because the screws had lovely plastic knurling on them and were smooth as butter, yet still fixed firmly when needed.
Overall, I like the case. I think NZXT put a lot of thought into it. It's quiet, as it was designed to be. Plenty of space (except in the routing cage), sturdy, and looks good. They need to work on those screws. For me personally, I really hope companies like NZXT continue to chase minimalist designs. I want to see smaller cases for people like me who don't have 4 GPUs, 10 drives, and 3 DVD drives. I just have the Mobo, Cpu, Gpu, Psu, 1 HDD, and 1 SDD. So much wasted space. That innovation seems to be happening in the Mini-ITX case space, but good Mini-ITX boards are still a rarity for gaming specs so most folks are stuck on Mid-Towers like me.

- solid quality build (real Metal) and snaps together with no wires connecting to the front or top cover)
- excellent on noise dampening, silent!
- future forward case, no ext. drives! (built this system all flash w/NVMe M.2 storage, no SSD's, No HDD's).
- great placement of USB and audio jacks top of case
- the feel is smooth and finger print resistant (very cool finish)
- the look and design is par none, cool to the touch
- has feet to raise it an inch off the ground with magnetic internal dust filters (bottom and front)
- has a top/rear LED with an easy access switch so you can see your cables at the back of the case when you need to adjust or plug something else in (just smart)
- think I have found the near perfect case for me
The only CON to this case that I can think of is the side panel window is plastic and not tempered glass.
