This is a fun watch, especially if you are part of the comicbook / movie pop-culture geek world that the filmmakers are paying tribute to here. I would most compare this to the movie Empire Records, except instead of focusing on a 90s record store in an age where mega-retailers are taking over (and a few years before digitization), The Concessionaires Must Die follow a group of comic book / movie lovers as they struggle to keep their beloved theater open despite competition from a soon-to-be-open mega-plex up the street. The characters are fun and silly and if you love reference humor, this has got tons.

Hobo-Batman was my favorite.

Headline pretty much says it all. You will more than get your money out of this one for the price. I've watched it multiple times already & laughed every time.

Very fun movie that managed to be smart and funny without being too clever for its own good. An easy, quick watch in a way that a comedy like this should be. The kind of movie I could see myself watching a few times a year and enjoying each time. Kind of felt like a more modern take on the aesthetic and themes of something like High Fidelty, Empire Records or even Mall Rats.

This is a really fun, well-paced film with a lot of heart. A lot of cool nods to pop/geek culture- look out for all the references! It has a great balance of characters, great casting, and the late Stan Lee plays a cool little part. Definitely would recommend!

This is a really fun movie full of pop-culture references, but it never gets overwhelmed by them. The performances and direction are great.

Fun, endearing, silly, and some lines that had me totally cracking up. Reminded us a bit of Empire Records, similar style. Totally worth the watch.
