The customer service was not very helpful and just keep emailing me suggestions. The firmware needed to be updated but nothing could happen until I was connect to my network. The process was very frustrating. I think the average person would have sent the Hub back. I was determined to “crack the code”. After I was finally able to connect to my network, mind you many resets, the hub worked great.

The customer service was not very helpful and just keep emailing me suggestions. The firmware needed to be updated but nothing could happen until I was connect to my network. The process was very frustrating. I think the average person would have sent the Hub back. I was determined to “crack the code”. After I was finally able to connect to my network, mind you many resets, the hub worked great.

I ordered a C-Reach to integrate my CbyGE Led strips to my HomeKit setup. When I got the unit I was able to connect it to my network. However, the HomeKit code on the unit did not work (invalid code). I contacted GE support by phone and they were not able to fix the issue. They suggested I get a replacement unit from Amazon, which I did. A week or so later I received a replacement unit. hard to believe but this one had an Incomplete HomeKit code!!! See the picture. HomeKit codes have 8 digits. So three numbers are missing! How is that even possible?!? So I contacted GE again and they suggested...that I get another replacement. I did not and asked for a reimbursement. Clearly they have no quality control department...

By the way, the CbyGE light strips that I wanted to integrate are behind other products already on the market. You cannot do multiple colors at the same time on one strip. Something that you can do out of the box with the LIFX led strips that I have owned for years now and that have work flawlessly.

Also the app is terrible. Probably the worst I have seen for smart lights. (I own, LIFX, Philips Hue and Lutron products). Stay away from CbyGE products. There are better and more advanced products out there.
